Well there's no escaping it, we are now edging closer towards the Christmas holidays.

What gifts/presents is everyone expecting to get this year? something exciting or just socks?

Annoyed that this year as everyone has given me my Christmas money just over a week before Christmas so I'm now having to drop plans such as doing proper outings and instead go round shopping centres which as many of you will have an idea what I'm like in crowded areas like shopping centres, so me doing Christmas shopping the week leading up to Christmas is a terrible thing. Then there is me having to try and think what I want, but I haven't a flaming clue, so unless I happen to see something I like, I'm not going to get anywhere. The way things are going, my Christmas present money is likely to become my Christmas/Birthday money as my birthday is at the end of January although there is nothing to make an expensive buy like last year when I upgraded my camera. Anyone got any present ideas for myself?

I've bought myself a new handbag.

Husband has bought himself an android console.

Couldn't be more gender clichéd if we tried. Obviously can't reveal what I've bought for various people as at least one of them doesn't read here but reads here anyway.

And, if you'll have enough, how about a laptop so you don't have to swear at flickr apps etc? Iirc, you've been a bit limited in what you have to access t'Internet with.

Certainly hope to make plenty of more trips in the new year, although I am hoping to travel a bit further afield. Even toyed with the idea of heading to Edinburgh again on the day of my birthday in January, but I don't think I will.

Went out again today to Middlesbrough, Guisborough and Redcar and got a few things I wanted for bus photos, sadly I went Christmas shopping afterwards in Middlesbrough and got nothing. May try shopping at the Metrocentre tomorrow in the hope of finding some more stuff for Christmas.

I got myself a Blackpool Transport enthusiasts handbook for Christmas. I also got stuff like clothing, shower gel and DVDs including Chris Ramsey and Dara O' Briain's stand up shows. Got plenty of junk food to scoff my face with over the next week or so, will certainly need to get back to the gym in January. Still got a bit Christmas money left, so I may get myself to the MetroCentre again on Monday.

Don't put too big a map on as it'll make your Laptop incredibly slow or even break it.

Ultimately depends on the spec of the laptop, Dan.

My laptop is fine for gaming. I get a decent FPS on OMSI 2 - doesn't run particularly slowly at all.

That might be why, my Laptop wasn't that good however better than the PC I've just replaced that could barely run any game, however my new one is great, Bowdenham works now.
