There was about 3 routes merged together when they created the 28.
Chester - Strange Villa.
Strange Villa - Eighton Lodge.
Eighton Lodge - Newcastle. (The only bit in common with the 721).

(04 Apr 2016, 10:49 pm)Tom The green arrow could be next in line for investment I think - the Solars on there are some of the worst so possibly some Streetlites for them.
Angel is also a good shout and then the B5s can go on either the Coaster or Crusader releasing the Citaros for the Tynedale Express, Cats Fast X35 and Waggonway.
Can also see the 2s getting new buses as the Versas on there are deffo some of the worst - Versas could then possibly go on the 82 and 82A or if enough also the 85 and 86.Solos wouldn't be big enough for the 82s I don't think.
Then finally maybe a couple of Solos for the 18 to get rid of the MPDs. Wouldn't be many left if Versas also replaced them on the 85/86.

The 21 is impossible to get wrong...a decent reliable double decker and a decent weekend frequency. I say impossible, until the Hybrids, GNE did a fantastic job of hugely screwing it up

Should do fine on the 28/28A, at least if you put them on the Waggonway's, Davie would still be able to see them on a regular basis
Wouldn't mind Omnicities in Sunderland more often...

I'll go for a MCW Metrobus to displace the B5s

I can't see the Omnicitys being replaced on the 1 in the 2016/2017 financial year, I'd say it's more likely to be in the 2017/2018 financial year, especially with them recently being fitted with WiFi. I'd the most likely replacement on the 1 would be new StreetLite's.

I've always wondered if whoever made the decisions on buses for the 21...Omnicities and Vykings was moved onto something less demanding (in charge of the stationary cupboard perhaps)
Just not with tables....seats seats and more seats.
