(10 Jan 2019, 10:51 am)Jamie M Extend 4 to metrocentre via gateshead and begone with the X66. Adds new direct link from Heworth to Metrocentre whilst at it.

Reliability would be horrendous given how tight the 4 is for time between Houghton and Heworth as it is.

I would suggest merging the 4 and 58 together however.

It wouldnt make any difference to a customer cause the X66s run far off time too at times like. Could do with some re-timing but would be interesting to see if it's a corridor worth upgrading.

700A won't work because Nexus offer the Docks section on a Every 30 minutes basis, and the 33 was revised so that passengers could have a service in both directions...
Also I don't think those from the University would want to round the Docks to reach the Town.

Could the Q3 continue from Great Park to Kingston Park Shops, via Brunton Lane? The 42A links Wallsend to Kingston Park, but the Q3 could serve Kingston Park from the City Centre. There is a lack of GNE services in the West End of Newcastle.

These services will allow the 5 to be withdrawn from jarrow to north shields however will allow it to extend to heworth via Hebburn & pelaw
5 doesn’t need extending as the 9 goes from Jarrow to Hebburn one way and 26/27 the other way, there’s no point in adding another and add to the fact the metro there’s no need to add

29 would have to interwork with something else, or have large layovers, as it only has 6 minutes spare each round trip.

For it to work it would need an extra 20 minutes added to the timetable for going in and out of town and an extra vehicle added to the PVR and still have the 6 minutes spare for each round trip, 2 at Kibblesworth, 2 at Gateshead and 2 in town.
