Go North East: Service Suggestions v2
My suggestion for a revised service 4A/C and a service 3. Current service 4 heworth-houghton. Current service 35 thought Houghton-sunderland. Current service 9 route Sunderland-Jarrow. Then to hebburn, Lukes lane Estate and back to heworth as a loop. I've included a map to make it a bit clearer.

I'd suggest operating the full loop on a half hourly basis as service 4/4a with a service 3 operating on a half hourly basis from heworth-sunderland via Houghton. This would give a combined PVR of 19. Interworking pattern would be 4A-4C-3-3
Service 9 could be withdrawn.
Service 35 could be withdrawn south of Sunderland with Houghton-Low moorsley replace by diverted service 55 which would no longer serve Peterlee.
Service 26 could be withdrawn past Jarrow. Service 27 could be rerouted in hebburn to reduce journey time to Newcastle.
There are a number of changes that could be made to other services based on this that I haven't listed.
I have created an example timetable below. I'm aware it is a very long route but the idea would be to connect local communities to key locations rather than long distance journeys. That said it would provide a number of locations with a direct bus to Amazon at Follingsby Park.
