Revised pvr for 97 will be 6.
Revised pvr for 97A will be 4.

No longer interwork.

Wonder what will be used on extra working ?
Knowing Riverside, it will be an incorrect allocation anyway !!
Probably just use a red solar, but I would allocate Poppy bus 4949 to it.

Hopefully GNE decide to paint a Scania so it has a full branded allocation, not sure if Deptford is planned to lose anymore now.

The "Green Arrows" could get new buses this year so GNE might not even bother re-painting and a branding the extra Scania.

Deptford has released all 23 vehicles following the entry into service of new vehicles. The only outstanding cascades/withdrawals are as follows:
  • 4903 (currently in service at Stanley to cover for 3874 which has been withdrawn)
  • 4907 (currently in a float/reserve capacity at Riverside while vehicles in Riverside's fleet undergo modifications as part of a group project)
  • 4925 (currently in service at Stanley to cover for 3880 which has been withdrawn)
  • two red Scania L94s from Chester-le-Street to Riverside, allowing two Volvo B10BLEs to be withdrawn.
I would imagine that one of Riverside's red Scania L94s will be repainted green, given that they're going to inherit an extra red Scania L94 from Chester-le-Street.

Surprised the last Cadet isn't getting withdrawn.

Unless that'll be withdrawn once the changes in North Tyneside and Gateshead happens?

The six DAF/VDL SB120s at Washington are all required to operate services 82/82A. They're currently running one SB120 short (the PVR is 7), but running 4909 in its place.

3 buses from the 96
7 buses from the 17/17A

Not quite!

The arrival of 8 Scania L94s at Percy Main has allowed for the withdrawal of 8 Volvo B10BLEs (4913, 4914, 5152, 5153, 5154, 5155, 5157 and 5166).

Whilst some Volvo B10BLEs will be withdrawn as a result of this month's service changes, it won't be as many as you think. You have to remember that the PVRs of the TEN, Quaylink and Green Arrow are all increasing as a result of these changes - it's not all cuts to allow for the withdrawal of more vehicles from the fleet.

It'll be 2x extra in the total PVR due to the 10 getting a layover in Hexham similar to the way that the X21 works at Bishop Auckland looking at the timetable.

Hexham:
10 = PVR 7

Riverside:
10A to Rockwood Hill + 10B = PVR 4
10A to Blackhall Mill + 10B = PVR 5

Where will the extra bus for the TEN come from?

I think this (taken from service suggestion thread):
Following the recent announcement of service changes happening on the 24th and 31st of July I have decided to do another allocation plan:
The following services would be affected:
1/1A
Q1/Q2
2/2A/39
Q3
V7/V8
V9
X1/X1A
6/X70/X71
X7
X9/X10
10/10A/10B/10X
15/15A/16/16A
18 (NEW 22)
19/NEW 19A
21
X25
27
28/28A
29 (NEW 29)
33
NEW 33/33A
34/34A
35/35A/36/61 (NEW 36A)
X35
NEW X36
36B (Current X36)
40/41/42
45E/47
49/49A/49B (Current 49C)
57
58
59/204/265
74/680/682/686/687/688
82/82A/82B/83/83A/85/86
88/88A
93/94
NEW 95
97/97A/X97
327
434/448
554

Red Arrows and TTX: 13 new streetdecks (including one spare) come for Riverside/Peterlee for services X9/X10 allowing for dual depot operation, every 15 minute combined operation and it also allows Peterlee to have a spare decker. The X1 would be reduced to an every 20 minute frequency while new X2 would also run every ten minutes but would run to Murton instead of Easington Lane with no PVR increase. The Red Arrows buses would be given sockets and the ex TTX buses would get NSAs.
This would allow for the following allocation changes:
6043-6048 and 6084 are cascaded to Washington for use on Red Arrows service X1/X2.
3943, 6001 and 6002 would be cascaded to Riverside to replace 3818, 3819 and 3824.
6003-6005, 6134 and 6135 would transfer to Stanley to replace 3814, 3822 and 3830-3832.
6006 and 6007 would be red spares for the X1/X2.

Blaydon Racers, LOOP and NEW 95: 15 streetlites would come for services 49/49A/NEW 49B (including two red spares with tachographs for the X9/X10.) The NEW 49B would be exactly the same as the current 49C thus replacing the current 64. A new service 95 would run following the current 95 route from Lobley Hill-Gaeshead, then the current 93 route to Heworth via Saltmeadows and then finally the current 57 route to Wardley taking approximately 41 minutes. The service would take
This would allow for the following allocation plans:
5275-5283 would be branded LOOP (5275 would be a red spare)
5331 would become a red spare for plans outlined further down in the post
5219-5221 would be painted red for use on new service 95
5222 would transfer to Staley to replace 4896.
5223-5226 would stay at Riverside to replace 4897-4900.

QuayLink Q1/Q2/Q3, CityLink 57 and CityLink 58:
8316-8318 would be branded for the Q3.
8329 would be a red spare for the Q3.
5377-5389 would be branded QuayLink for the Q1/Q2.
5390 would be a red spare for the Q1/Q2.
8331-8338 would be branded CityLink orange for the 58 with 8330 being a red spare.
5322-5324 would be branded CityLink blue a long with 5293-5297.

Wagonway, NEXUS Solos, BYKER ASDA bus, InDiGo North Tyne and InDiGo Peterlee:
11 streetlites would come for Wagonway 28/28A services (including one red spare.) Service 265 would leave the InDiGo brand as would service 59, however this service would run Monday-Friday. Service 204 would be revised to run via Sherburn Road missing out Belmont and Low Pittington and instead running down Sherburn Road. The new service would take just under 1 hour with a PVR of one. 208 would run as a standalone service.
4956 and 4957 would come to Peterlee for service 265 (both would be fitted with tachographs)
4958-4960 would replace 5322-5324 at Riverside.
626 would transfer to Peterlee for use on service 59.
665 and 666 would transfer to Percy Main for the increased PVR on new service 42.
625 would transfer to Riverside for the new 13 service.
631 and 632 would also transfer to Riverside for the new contract for the 33.
627 would transfer to Peterlee for use on the 168 contract.
633 which has been freed up by the loss of the 29 contract would be branded for the Byker ASDA bus contract.
557 would be withdrawn.

Angel, Crusader, WTX and NEW Airport bus 737: 21 streetdecks (including two red spares) without tables for use on the ANGEL 21. This would allow for an every 12 minute full route frequency and an every 6 minute frequency Newcastle-Chester-le-Street. New airport service 737 would run every 15 minutes Newcastle Airport-Eldon Square rivalling the metro.
This allow for the following allocation plans:
6057-6070 would transfer to Riverside for use on the Crusader 27 with 6057 being a red spare.
6056 would transfer to Stanley for replacing 3864.
3962 and 3965 would stay at Chester-le-Street for replacing 3869 and 3872.
5328-5330 would be branded WTX and would transfer to Deptford for use on service X7 allowing for an every 30 minute frequency and dual depot operation, 5336 would also be given a tachograph.
5310-5314 would be branded for new airport service 737. 5310 would be a branded spare.
5315 and 5316 would replace 4901 and 4902 at Riverside.
5317 would replace 4907 at Riverside.
5318 and 5319 replace 4918-4920.
5332 would replace 5167.

SimpliCity 2/2A/39, Castles Link 22 and Tynedale Links: 19 streetlites would come for Deptford for use on SimpliCity 2/2A/39 (including two red spares.) The 39 would join the SimpliCity brand. Service 687 would be extended to Beaumont Park (not calling into Hexham Bus Station but it would only stop opposite the bus station operating every 30 minutes, therefore the 682 would no longer run to Beaumont Park but would instead run to Chollerford adding ten minutes onto the route north of Acomb running hourly taking just under half an hour. Service 686 would run half hourly Albemarle Barracks-Prudhoe. Passengers using the service Wylam-Ovington portion of the service. Service 18 would be renumbered 22.

I've had a look at the new Cobalt Clipper timetable and unless some of the turnaround times are going to be razor tight (which I highly doubt), then I believe that the following journeys may be a 'conventional' or 'off route' working:

- 06:32 Service 310 from North Shields to Newcastle arriving for 07:14
- 07:25 Service X39 from Newcastle to Cobalt Village Hotel arriving for 07:47
- 08:10 Service 310 from North Shields to Newcastle arriving for 09:06

309 / 310 arrivals after 08:20:
- 309(1)(08:24); 310(2)(08:32); 309(3)(08:40); 310(4)(08:48); 309(5)(08:56); 310(6)(09:06); 309(7)(09:11)

309 / 310 departures after 08:25
- 309(1)(08:34); 310(2)(08:41); 309(3)(08:51); 310(4)(09:00); 309(5)(09:09); 310(7)(09:19)

So by looking at the above, it looks like the 309 / 310 won't start interworking until after 09:15 because currently, a short 309 journey runs between Whitley Bay departing at 07:33 arriving into Newcastle for 08:26 with a full journey running just behind arriving at 08:34 subsequently working the 08:41 310 departure. All of the 309 journeys that arrive into Newcastle from 07:35 onwards will be full journeys from Blyth unlike currently. GNE 'could' just about also getaway with using a single deck vehicle on the above journeys too unless they use a Plaxton President or other type of double deck vehicle.

Will the upcoming works for the triple decker roundabout not cause chaos to the timetable. I'd be suprised if they didn't add extra layover/ additional services

(03 Jul 2016, 12:36 pm)L469 YVK I've had a look at the new Cobalt Clipper timetable and unless some of the turnaround times are going to be razor tight (which I highly doubt), then I believe that the following journeys may be a 'conventional' or 'off route' working:

Yer, I can certainly see why. I wonder whether or not a PVR increase from the Newcastle - North Shields section of route will be required come when Norham Road and to an extent, the works at Billy Mill start. Currently only got 3 minutes layover (from 24/07) unless GNE will end up increasing the running time between Middle Engine Lane and North Shields with a layover of approximately 15 minutes. I don't think they'll split the 309/310 on a 10/7 split though as it would increase personnel costs due to changeovers being required in 2x different locations (New York / Rake Lane as well as Verne Road).
