(13 Jun 2019, 4:32 pm)S813 FVK Not entirely sure what the thinking behind it is, but very much disagree with the apparent move to promoting the Red Kites as an express service, even if it is timed to be just 7 minutes slower than the X70/X71 (65 v 58)
It's just like Arriva adding an 'X' to a service number in order to expand the 'MAX' brand to it.
Not forgetting the X30/X31 will operate between Consett and Newcastle daily upto every 15 mins!! (According csv file) not sure exactly what route these will take but this might well be the quickest route (53 mins maybe), also possible is the X45-46-47 might just operate express between the Metrocentre and Newcastle. Think the whole idea is to quicken links to promote the bus over cars.

GO NORTH EAST LIMITEDRoute: NEWCASTLE, HAYMARKET 'S' to GREAT PARK P+R SITE
Service number: Q3 ()
Service type: Normal Stopping
Effective date: 21 Jul 2019
(13 Jun 2019, 10:04 am)ifm001Interesting. Red Kites to X Lines.
That is how the registration is listed on VOSA. Been pointed out a couple of times that one.
I'm sure it's something the way VOSA reads the xml file operators provide.

I doubt if all the X30/X31 will run from Consett every trip

Nor do I, but that’s what it says on the csv bit, guess we’ll find out soon enough

(14 Jun 2019, 3:55 pm)JP6004MG has posted a pic of 5250 now in corporate livery......could the new DD allow for the Toonlink B9s to be cascaded to the 6?
Also 699 looks to be in process of being painted into little coasters
Looking at the current RK & ex PB StreetLites, could they not be destined for the 12/12A and 58 with the 6 getting 5x Mercs from there?

PVR of 6 is more than 5...
I think, on its own under current layover conditions, it is actually bang on 5.
Together with the X31, it is currently 8 but with a 6 and X31 being scheduled to leave both Stanley and Newcastle at the same time, it is easier to split them apart.

Don't forget the 15 and red kite geminis will be cascaded all over. Any guesses of where these could go?
Almost definite that the 327 will be upgraded
I can see the 15 plate Geminis going to EYMS. For the ex London B9TLs, maybe either EYMS or GoNW
(15 Jun 2019, 8:53 pm)Michael Probables replace the Omnidekka's, so the Omnidekka's can replace the Vykings and Presidents.
Vykings and omnidekks are Euro 4, presidents are euro 5 apart from EYMS. Makes no sense to remove them if they are newer and higher engine spec.

Still a few V reg presidents kicking about. B9s could transfer onto the 6 as it always seems to be rammed
