(27 Jun 2019, 7:14 pm)L469 YVK Just seen there that it will be the X30 going to Consett. So how, will the E400MMC LH boards as well as the route work?
Really don’t know how those 3 E400s are going to cover the 30 min frequency. From Stanley the route will essentially follow the “old X31 route to Greencroft” via annfield plain and Catchgate, then via Loud bank, A692 to the bus station. I do wonder what height the Streetdecks are?

Well looking at the PVR, it will be a PVR of 4x with 1x per hour extended to Consett.
Consett: 00:52
Newcastle: 01:53
Newcastle: 02:00
Stanley: 02:38
Stanley: 02:45
Newcastle: 03:23
Newcastle: 03:30
Consett: 04:31
Unless GNE plan to refurb a StreetLite into X-Lines livery I suppose?

(30 Jun 2019, 4:54 pm)L469 YVK Why haven't the service changes been publsihed yet? Is it to protect commercial interests?
If you mean 'commercial interests' as in putting other things first rather than withholding information then it would seem that way yes, judging by this:

I know what you mean. But as soon as GNE re-timed the evening 309 & 310 services back in March, ANE acted and re-timed the 306 & 308 to depart at xx:12,27,42,57. The 309 & 310 are listed for more changes in this round and if they re-time them to lets say:
- 19:35, 19:55, 20:20, 20:50, 21:25, 21:55, 22:25, 22:55, 23:25
Then they aren't going to want Arriva getting a scent about that.

Are GNE still going to be running some 941 trips or are GCT running all trips from next month?
(02 Jul 2019, 3:46 pm)JP6004Still nothing regarding service changes, unlike GNE to leave it this late...
Yes theres been other thing going on...this years order and ToonTour, but I would of thought they would aimed to publish the changes before traveline
Well, if GNE are going to re-move the evening 309 & 310 times again or increase the evening frequency, then I don't think they'd want Arriva to get a hold of any potentially sensitive information considering what Arriva did the last time.
If the evening 309 & 310 moves to xx:20 and xx:50 followed later on by xx:25 and xx:55, then Arriva will be in trouble because if they then decide to move their times to xx:05 (306), xx:20 (308), xx:35 (306), xx:50 (308); then GNE will simply move back to xx:15 & xx:45 meaning although GNE could lose out slightly in Battle Hill (or maybe not due to xx:05 and xx:35 being a bit too sharp for passengers), they will potentially hoover up passengers waiting for the xx:50 308 as well as still making gains along the Coast Road corridor. Furthermore, the 309 would still be compliant with the Cobalt shift patterns too.

I'm not sure if the Arriva concerns will have anything to do with it at all.
Arriva are going to have access of the information regarding the 309/310 sooner or later. All GNE can do is extend the period in between the implementation of their change and any change Arriva may decide to make in response.

If I'm in Whitley Bay going to Newcastle I just get whichever comes first even though Go North East has higher spec

Well that's exactly why GNE will want to keep these under wraps.
Due to the scale of ANE's more national management, they won't check as soon as they can get copies from VOSA. Obviously they'll check eventually but not straight away.
ANE will also have other divisions and competitors to take care off.
