(04 Jan 2017, 8:01 pm)Dan I used the X6 today and it was almost full leaving Hartlepool (one of the indiGo Solos was allocated).
Leaving Peterlee, it had myself and a few others on. Leaving Seaham towards Sunderland, just two.
Early days yet but impressive on the Hartlepool stretch by all accounts. Have a feeling it's taking away from the X5 though.
(04 Jan 2017, 8:06 pm)Michael That's good, wonder if it's taking people away from Arriva too?
I haven't seen the X5 so can't comment on the numbers, maybe the Citaro's will bring more people to use it, will the X5 gain WIFI like the X6/X7?

(04 Jan 2017, 11:49 pm)BusLoverMum I doubt that many customers will even notice that one ageing single decker has been swapped for a slightly less old one - all most people will notice is the newer numberplate. Internally, the citaros are almost as scruffy as the solars, as the seat back fabric has pilled really badly and the floors are really stained.

Just seen 9099 not in service near the traffic lights and hazard lights on, possibly broken down

(05 Jan 2017, 12:00 am)S813 FVK I wouldn't be surprised if the Mercs are temporarily withdrawn like the Red Kite Omnis were and given a bit of an interior clean - they must be deserving of one now having worked for a solid 8 years.

(05 Jan 2017, 4:14 pm)S813 FVK Would they? The fleet list only shows 10 new Streetlites arriving, 9 branded and 1 corporate liveried spare. That would only be enough to replace the 9 branded Citaros (including 5292 in instead of 4896) and only 1 of the 5337/8 meaning they will still have the Citaro vehicle type based there (providing that is what you mean).
