(03 Feb 2017, 4:56 pm)Dan I don't think the leather headrests can be helped - the order and the specification of the build would have been placed long before the new logo was created and launched. The logos externally are currently being replaced on buses at the moment: Riverside's fleet will be first. Scania L94 5207 has been repainted into the new corporate livery complete with new logos and, if I recall correctly, new style of fleet numbers.

Something which will probably be of greater interest (sorry to rain on your parade S813 FVK!) is the acquisition of mini Solo 208 from Go Cornwall Bus - now numbered 708 in Go North East's fleet:

[Image: 32564443051_48789723b6.jpg]Go North East: 0708 / WK58EAG by Daniel Graham, on Flickr

When looked at from that perspective, then that is perfectly fine. I find the logo on the headrests isn't something that immediately jumps out at me when I have been on a bus with e-leather seat. I have noticed that some of the interior stickers have no logo on them while others do. Maybe its just me and withdrawl symptoms - I haven't actually been able to do any work on the marketing unit at school for 2 weeks now since my teacher hasn't been in and they haven't been able to get off their backside and get us any work to do.

That solo would be perfect for the T1/T2 here at Stanley. Would be no good on the 6 at peak times though which regularly happens (I say regularly - it is something that has been cut down on recently). Something tells me it is going to be sent to Percy Main for the Whitley Bay service that they have regained.

Be interesting to see. Very few people turn up for the T1/T2 since very few people know where it goes and stops. If all of the MPDs are to go, I wonder what'll come.

Is there actually a timetable anywhere for the T1/T2? I just know the T1 gets into Lanchester at around 15:15.

It's tiny mind, I've seen the S1 full at peak times before, and 8266 is a hell of a lot bigger.

True but I'm not sure what else they could use on the 333 or W1/W1A?

The 42A won't need all of 637/638/639 so maybe one of them, and would fit in with the Venture Solos?

I was thinking the W1/W1A. Could maybe go on the 333 I suppose though.

I'd imagine it would be too small for the S1, a larger Solo SR may do though.

No, not that I know of. It stops at a lot of the stops and isn't displayed on the stop timetables. Drivers love the shift because you only ever pick up from Tesco, even there it's not rare to be carrying only thin air.

I was going to also suggest the W1/W1A & 333.

I was going to ask whether Percy Main would have enough vehicles or are more due there since they have the Whitley Bay services and the 42A route starting soon, from what I've heard (Not sure how true/accurate this is) that the 42 which currently terminates at Benton Asda, is going to be the one used now as 42A, obviously they will have an allocation of vehicles to meet the current PVR of the 42, but surely this will increase since the 42A will be going to Dinnington.
Another thought was would any of Riversides Solo's move over to Percy Main, since they wont be operating the 353. Unless of course depending what happens with the Kingston Park to Dinnington section of the 353 route?

Dan - Are anymore of these Solo's due to come up from Go Cornwall or is this just a one off?

I've seen it in Lanchester at around 09:10 in the morning a few times and at around 09:35 in Consett Bus Station when I've been heading to Consett and Hexham on the 15 & 689.

Probably is a timetable, it's probably just not on stops or anything as it's a free service that doesn't need to be registered with VOSA? Probably the same way that the Eden's and Stagecarriage's Asda Free Bus Services work?
