(07 Jun 2017, 8:54 pm)BusLoverMum A tree guard is that metal cage on the nearside edge by the front upper deck window of many double deckers - essential for many services in Durham! I remember one of the old Y reg lowlanders had a nice big fibreglass patch on the corner, clearly pre-dating the fitting of a treeguard.
(08 Jun 2017, 5:54 am)LeeCalder I believe it was taken from Belmont on a flatbed, as there was no way of towing it. As too where it went, who knows!

After about a year of it first being mentioned, I believe the Volvo B9s on the X93 will be fitted with Next Stop Announcements shortly. Should be three next week and three the week after, depending on if Redcar can get the buses off the road.
So potential for a few odd-balls on the X93 over the next few weeks.

(11 Jun 2017, 10:51 am)James101 Searching Flickr for 'Tesma Scarbourgh' shows it happening on a few occasions, presumably lots more not caught on camera. MPDs have made it on full length runs too.

Odd that they put an all over ad on the back of a Frequenta 63 as well (1429). Couldn't they have done a Temsa?
(14 Jun 2017, 3:29 pm)Dan I've noticed that a lot of buses seem to be missing branding, or haven't had it altered, recently.
It was mentioned that the X21/X22 services were both going to be branded as MAX, wasn't it? I assumed this was the reason for the EcoCitys not losing the branding for the old 21 service, and parts of missing branding not being replaced. I thought that there was possibly a plan in the works for the vehicle allocation on the 22/23/24, as a lot of these have missing branding too.

(14 Jun 2017, 3:35 pm)cbma06 Yea, something was mentioned that service X21/X22 be going max sometime this year, but don't know the date, was hoping that the 23 would be going sapphire so the 22/23/24 could interwork at the destination, Shame that the north east won't be getting the revised brand of the max and sapphire.

(14 Jun 2017, 4:42 pm)mb134 They will be. Vehicles from now on will be delivered in the new livery, however the new 'brands' don't launch until next year.

(17 Jun 2017, 11:03 am)tyresmoke Such a shame that the 'intermediate' brands appear to have been dropped from the plan and just Sapphire survives now.
