The news on the homepage includes 'unapproved' user submissions. We'll have a look at that.

But the answer to your question is that 6301 was in use at Chester-le-Street following completion of repairs. Not strictly speaking a loan, nor a swap with 6333. It's a regular occurrence on weekdays, although the allocations tend to be limited to scholars (and the services they interwork with) only. Bit more unusual for a Saturday, however.

6333 is back at Chester-le-Street now.

EYMS become part of Go North East.....

An interesting story.
I was keen to know if Hull would be fitted in to the zone structure (twighlight perhaps?), but one of the final paragraphs seems to discount it.

Quote:EYMS will operate as a stand-alone company within Go North East, overseen by the Go North East executive director team.

It would be interesting to see how the networks could be joined up.
One area I feel is lacking, but could be of some benefit with Arriva Yorkshire and ANE

Haha! ANE Durham and Northumberland barely meet in the middle!

Hopefully this will be a relief for people in Hull and particularly East Yorkshire as so many have lost tgrth services altogether because EYMS couldn't afford to run them on the subsidies given.

Wasn't it the Cowie Group (now Arriva) that offloaded it's Ripon depot onto Blazefield, which vaguely connected it's Yorkshire and North East companies at the time?  I'm pretty sure United had the 36 to Leeds well into the 90's and I seem to recall from my teens, getting on an Optare MetroRider with my mother from Darlington to Ripon.

Exactly. X12 and that's it, but at least there is something.
As you know, there's a huge gap south of Durham/Darlington/Teesside, despite several of their services crossing in to Yorkshire.
I don't think it would be too demanding to extend an existing service or introduce a new one, so that the Yorkshire and NE had those links.
Not sure a extension of the X26/27 to York would be viable, but an extension of a Selby-York service to Ripon and an X26 to Ripon so connections are possible - may be.

It rang a bell, checked it out and it was 96 that it was sold by Cowies.

East Yorkshire's website doesn't include liveries, but I have my own which I believe is quite up to date so just give me a bell if assistance is required. It shouldn't be too difficult to do as flickr will be able to answer most of the questions raised along the way, but happy to help if needed.

Will be interesting to see if GNE open a depot in Teesside after acquiring EYMS. Would be huge for the likes of the X9/X10 etc. On another note, wonder if GNE will relaunch the X60?

Howay Davey. I've been looking forward, all day, for the first service suggestions to come along - and neither you or Malarkey have came up with the goods yet.  Sad

Thanks - you may want to fine-tune on the detail included on our fleet list.

Not too sure on some of the liveries, nor was I sure on which buses had which features. For now, anyway!

From the news:

635/636 now has WIFI fitted

718/719 looks to be heading to Peterlee, WIFI has also been fitted, this should hopefully see some of the temporary allocations removed.
