22513 in a collision in Byker this morning. Not sure how much damage it sustained. Anyone know if the bus will be in service, be repaired or withdrawn?

The Chronicle have got a couple of on-line articles covering it, with photos showing the bus from the rear, and the remains of the car.

Ridiculous. Hopefully nobody was badly injured. No mention of the bus driver. Any idea whether or not 22513 will be in service and if so when?

Bus driver was fine. Bit early to speculate if/when until they've evaluated it, but given the money spent on getting the Kinetics up to scratch, especially fettling the Walkergate two, it's quite likely be repaired unless it turns out anything more than cosmetic damage. Cars tend to come off worse.

Believe a Stagecoach bus may have caught fire at Cobalt Business Park this morning.

Also noted 24115 being towed south on the A1(M) by Alpha Recovery around an hour ago.

Was a 22, so more than likey an E400 - didn't bother chasing up which one.  Confused

Yeah it's awaiting an engine replacement, still to swap with 39705 - the final swap in the E200 regional movements. Lets not open that can of worms!

One that hasn't been mention, 19215 has been given a BBC Sounds allover advert. Passed me on the way home reminding me.  https://www.flickr.com/photos/emdjt42/44933940245

Been waiting for confirmation on that one, but 24115 off to Plaxton Anston for Euro 6 Cummins conversion. UK Bus MANviro-hangover conversion programme has started up again with a good number pencilled in from around the UK to be done, but surprised to see a NE one(s) penciled in - believe there will be more to follow over the months ahead, at present I'm not sure which ones.

24113 and 24114 are to receive new Cummins units.

22443 is under service prep at Walkergate - their 3rd ex-Yorkshire example, while 17239/40 are now off fleet for the winter.
