(22 Dec 2018, 9:21 am)NewcastleOne By looks yes, wonder if it swapped with anything?

The only other single deck boards is the 670 and 674. Maybe the earlier 19s to cobalt south, it’s usually a solar at 8:20 from n park

(21 Dec 2018, 7:39 pm)Michael Dan has some pictures of the insides of the E400 on demo...have to say, it looks really nice.

"The "Red Arrows" X1 and 921 services currently operate with a batch of Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs new in 2011 and 2012, and are now beginning to evaluate suitability of different vehicle types on these routes."

Go North East should test a Scania E400MMC on the X1, would be better comparison to the B9's, personally would like to see Go North East switch to Alexander Dennis instead of buying Wrightat.

Or E400 XLBs they look like they would be great for the X9/X10 then the B5s could go to the X1 along side afew other new b5s as copacity is an issue for the X9/X10 so here is the answer:

Stagecoach had no problem with using a Tri-Axle Plaxton Panther of a similar length when they used to operate the X55, Eldon Square would be the main issue for the XLB's

I'vr got a gut feeling with the new MD that GNE will move away from just buying Wright bodied vehicles and instead, also order from the likes of ADL too.

If eldon square would be an issue in the first few days change it so that the X9/10  to commence from market street.

My suggestion would for a board
Run the 654
Do an extra 42A from Killingworth to kingskingston park
Do a full 42A run to North Shields
Then back to depot

That'd be a bit pointless, Killingworth to Kingston Park is hardly the busiest section of the route so an extra bus surely wouldn't be required.

Sure it was said before, its the lead engineer who has the most say in what they buy but i do hope they go for something different.

Is 9081 allocated to a set board or is it just a run that finishes around 18:00?
Also is it possible it will make an appearance on the 921?

Set board, yes, to finish by 19:00 (due to no vandal screen).

Won't be used on the 921 or X1A.

Is the E400MMC demo a ZF or Voith? Sounds more like a ZF to be but could be wrong.

What are we looking at allocation wise for Boxing Day this year. I want to see if it's worth leaving the house this year.

Who needs heroes anyway? Villians have more fun.
