36977 has just broken down blocking most of Pallion Road, the engineers have just had to push it out of the way. Looks like it will be getting a lift back to the depot.

The E2 and E6 are.
Timetables over the festive period are available on the Stagecoach website, Nexus still to put them up it would seem.

Looks like the MANs are allocated to the 10 and 11 now as 39675, 39712 and a 397** is on. Hopefully this will allow the 4 to gain the 63 plates.

Quick question, why does 22050 have a l.e.d display that shows the number in a skinny font compared to 22022 which has the chunkier font

Kind Regards

At some point yes. Slow introduction over time.

Without getting too technical it's the version of firmware on the blinds. Hanover has its own coded language called Super-X, another option to simply using predefined fonts - it's the back-end function that makes thing's scroll but there's other witchcraft and wizardry you can do with it like substituting graphics (like route numbers).

SCNE use Super-X on the route number and via point line - meaning the number and scrolling messages are overridden by the Super-X style. The older E400s have the same bolder route number too, just the way Super-X was designed at the time. Since it also affects the scrolling, you've probably seen the likes of 10000 (https://www.flickr.com/photos/williamsonm/27083313386) and some of the Shields E200 for example showing larger scrolling, which is also linked to the Super-X firmware versions and how it interacts with the blind layout.

NE is currently overhauling their destination styles (as seen in Hartlepool and Stockton) so the Super-X style will be a thing of the past anyway in the months to come. Super-X numbers are a pet hate of mine!

It should be a decker as school children use it in Tyne Valley.
