I think the B9s are just slightly too tall.

14ft according to Google maps. Thought it was a little taller than that to be honest.

(05 Jan 2019, 9:37 pm)S830OFT Well the other managers that have PCV licences, although for them it'll be a pick and choose so I assume many declined to working on a Sunday. How they can provide a bus to Grosmont which has trains aswell, whilst Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough go without is beyond me.

The longer 95 (to Lealholmside) is still a relatively easy, short route to operate, plus I believe it interworks with school contracts.  The full length 93, like the X4 are long routes, take a long time from start to end, and need driver changes, which is probably too much demand on very limited resources during the strike.

Thats because the 95 service is a contracted service that in ran by Arriva for NYCC. They are paid to run it.

Observations from a quick drive round Darlington this morning:

A few additional services are running in and out of Darlington than previously advertised, spotted a service 3 coming from Skerne Park, saw a X21 heading out of Darlington and a X1 arriving into Darlington (that's all I can say, I know absolutely nothing else about these running, no times or anything)

Allocation wise so far:

2/7: E400
3/13's: Solo
X1: MAX Lite
X21/X26: Pulsar

Redcar seem to be covering some of the Darlington output, spotted 1429 and another Frequenta 63 Pulsar out and about.

Twitter says services are running free of charge but then again they also suggested to someone that the 6 ain't running when timetables suggest that it is.

Definitely free. We missed the 64 home from town but overtook it and when it caught up with us, as we got off the 50, there was a sign by the ticket machine stating that travel was free and an extra member of staff ushering people on.
