(19 May 2019, 9:17 am)Michael Its mad at how many Solo's have changed depots.

Which Solo's will be allocated to the 33/33A?, 649, 650, 651?

The X-lines brand is designed to provide passengers with a more premium experience against the norm, so required the use of six of the newer Optare Solo SR with a same-specification spare, which have high-back seats, Wi-Fi and USB charging points.

In order to achieve this, either the fleet at Percy Main or Washington had to be 'downgraded', where the majority of passengers undertake short-hop journeys. With the rest of the North Tyneside services being re-branded, it made sense to use this as an opportunity to re-brand the North Tyneside minibus network of services too. Aside from this, the indiGo services in North Tyneside were already operated by a mixed fleet (625, 627, 631 and 632 along with the newer examples), although very regularly the Whitley Bay 'W' services were also allocated indiGo Solos with fleet livery examples being allocated to the 40/41/42.

The aligning of the Solo fleets puts the business in a better position going forwards, and ensures that customers consistently receive the specification advertised by Go North East.

At Deptford;
- services 33/33A are allocated 718 - 720 (which have Wi-Fi, Next Stop Announcements and high-back seats, as they did when 681, 689 and 690 were allocated).
- service 238 is allocated two from the batch of 649 - 651

672 is a dedicated spare for the X-lines X6/X7 and X20, and one of the batch from 649 - 651 is also a spare.

Thanks, glad they've decided to sort all the solo's out, and try to put them in some sort of order, i would imagine a Streetlite would be used if the spare Solo isn't available (just to keep same spec)

Hopefully this happens with the Omnicities when they become the next set of buses to be put in the spare role.

After repaint, where will the Blue Arrow Omnicities end up?, Riverside?

(19 May 2019, 9:09 am)Dan 6100 will be the same-specification spare for the Cobalt & Coast, with 6101-17 all being branded as part of the PVR which is now 17.

The Fab56 PVR has reduced by one, but given there were several 'unbranded' Volvo B9 anyway, it meant that one of the spares could be sent away. 6086 and 6099 will be the spare buses for the 56 going forward, with 6085 forming part of the PVR of the 56 (as it did previously).

Will 6100 be refurbished or just deep cleaned?

(19 May 2019, 9:03 am)Dan For now, two of the Blue Arrow OmniCitys (which will be repainted in the new fleet livery), and Percy Main retain 6069 as a spare for the 14 Coaster branded examples. Longer-term there will be a plan for two double-decks to join Percy Main, one of which will be PVR and the other will be spare (and 6069 will be repainted and branded for Coaster).

The 40/41/42 should be allocated Solo SRs, the 11 should be allocated the older 10-plate Solos, and the 19 should be allocated two Solos too.

I take it the longer term double decks will be from the Red Arrows due to them being the same specification?

Yes, should do.

It also means that service 55X on Sundays will be operated by Solos of the same specification as the branded Citaros during the week (Wi-Fi, Next Stop, USB charging points) which passengers benefit from.

Sunday allocations at Deptford have been revised to be more achievable and to allow engineers time to maintain these vehicles on a weekend so passengers during the week don't "miss out", which means the 35A is now operated by Scania L94s on Sundays, like it is during the week.

The OmniCitys which are at Percy Main now will be the ones which remain at Percy Main - three are required for Miscellaneous Works school contracts, two are required for service 19, and two are required for service 1A, one spare.

6/X31 now down on Omnicitys. Only 6 available for a PVR of 8. Two of 5234-5238 will probably be used to fill the gaps as they regularly are at the moment, but I'm sure this won't be the case on paper given they no longer offer WiFi.

The Streetlites make up the PVR on 6/X31 (for now!) Obviously while these are being repainted, it will be L94s or Versas.

One of these Streetlites should also be used on Saturdays on the X66, instead of a Loop branded Scania L94.

When will the new stops on the app be update? Will the stops in Tindale Crescent show up on the app tomorrow when the X21 starts coming down here?
Also, has the X21 that goes via Durham University always shown up as X21E on the app? I've never noticed that before today

A large number of re-allocations last night:

648 - Percy Main to Hownsgill
697 - Deptford to Hownsgill
724, 725 - Crook to Percy Main

Would it not of made more sense to send 724/725 to Hownsgill with 648 staying at Percy Main and 697 going from Deptford to Percy Main.

4949 - Riverside to Peterlee
What services will this be used on while at Peterlee?

4982 - Percy Main to withdrawn
Interesting to see this Withdrawn given it was only repainted back 11 months ago and is probably in better condition than the B7RLE's retained in a reserve capacity.

Of the Blue Arrow OmniCitys, 5266 should be sent from Chester-le-St to Saltmeadows on Monday to get repainted. The others will all remain at Percy Main in Blue Arrow livery until space is available in the paintshop to repaint them. There are no intentions for OmniCitys to join the fleet at Deptford.

There is still a few WheyAye50 OmniCities which need repainting at Washington also, looks like the painters are going to be quite busy at Saltmeadows with the EYMS repaints on top of that.

Just out of curiosity will Ex London Metrobus Omnicity (YN08 OAY) which is at Percy Main for parts salvage be moving over to Chester-Le-Street to keep there Omni's going?

I'd beg to differ, the suspension collapsed last week whilst it was on the 310.

(19 May 2019, 2:54 pm)Malarkey A large number of re-allocations last night:

648 - Percy Main to Hownsgill
697 - Deptford to Hownsgill
724, 725 - Crook to Percy Main

Would it not of made more sense to send 724/725 to Hownsgill with 648 staying at Percy Main and 697 going from Deptford to Percy Main.

4949 - Riverside to Peterlee
What services will this be used on while at Peterlee?

I think 4949 might be used on the 206, as this service never seemed to use IndiGo branded vehicles, and with 718 - 720 now at Deptford there would only be IndiGo Solos or 708 to allocate to the 206.

Edit - Just been on the GNE app and 4949 is on the 42 atm, therefore has it not transferred to Percy Main instead?

Anything which goes to/from Peterlee goes via Deptford first.
