(19 May 2019, 3:28 pm)LeeCalder I'd beg to differ, the suspension collapsed last week whilst it was on the 310.

Funnily enough it's been a week since I last seen it and it was on the 19 after finished work as i'm working up the Cobalt now.

(19 May 2019, 1:59 pm)streetdeckfan When will the new stops on the app be update? Will the stops in Tindale Crescent show up on the app tomorrow when the X21 starts coming down here?
Also, has the X21 that goes via Durham University always shown up as X21E on the app? I've never noticed that before today

There's been some amendments to Go North East's back office data.

So whilst the evening/Sunday X21 has always been classed as 'X21E' to Go North East internally, this has had to be changed in the scheduling system too which means it's now public facing as that route number.

(19 May 2019, 2:54 pm)Malarkey A large number of re-allocations last night:

648 - Percy Main to Hownsgill
697 - Deptford to Hownsgill
724, 725 - Crook to Percy Main

Would it not of made more sense to send 724/725 to Hownsgill with 648 staying at Percy Main and 697 going from Deptford to Percy Main.

4949 - Riverside to Peterlee
What services will this be used on while at Peterlee?

4982 - Percy Main to withdrawn
Interesting to see this Withdrawn given it was only repainted back 11 months ago and is probably in better condition than the B7RLE's retained in a reserve capacity.

Of the Blue Arrow OmniCitys, 5266 should be sent from Chester-le-St to Saltmeadows on Monday to get repainted. The others will all remain at Percy Main in Blue Arrow livery until space is available in the paintshop to repaint them. There are no intentions for OmniCitys to join the fleet at Deptford.

There is still a few WheyAye50 OmniCities which need repainting at Washington also, looks like the painters are going to be quite busy at Saltmeadows with the EYMS repaints on top of that.

Just out of curiosity will Ex London Metrobus Omnicity (YN08 OAY) which is at Percy Main for parts salvage be moving over to Chester-Le-Street to keep there Omni's going?

Why would it have made more sense to allocate 724 and 725 to Hownsgill? These have non-standard interiors with hard and uncomfortable seats. They're a perfect fit for Nexus contract work - they'll be allocated to the W1/W1A at Percy Main.

4949 will be allocated to the Miscellaneous Works service which Peterlee operates, and also acts as a staff shuttle in between the morning and afternoon peak. In reality it's more common for Deptford to cover the Miscellaneous Works service with whichever Citaro or Streetlite is in for a safety inspection that day, so really 4949's use at Peterlee is limited to being a staff shuttle. There's a greater need for Euro 5 minibuses in the fleet in North Tyneside to convert some boards on service 19 to fuel-efficient Solo.

4979 and 4982 are earmarked for imminent disposal, hence why they were withdrawn first. The buyer for the remaining three won't be collecting them for another week or two yet, which is why these three have remained in service to cover additional PVR next week at Percy Main for the cruise ship shuttles.

Yes, Saltmeadows will be kept very busy over the next few weeks! The remaining ex-East Yorkshire scholars Volvo B7s aren't planned for repaint. 6941 will be the unique one in that respect!

No, from the middle of next month there'll be no room for any additional vehicles at Chester-le-Street. The engine from the Percy Main scrap OmniCity is currently being donated to a Riverside example.

(19 May 2019, 4:48 pm)Malarkey Anything which goes to/from Peterlee goes via Deptford first.

4949 has undergone safety inspection at Deptford today and is now at Peterlee. 718 was the Solo which didn't transfer to Deptford last night but was swapped over with 4949 today.

That makes more sense now Dan, my trail of thought when looking at the list of movements was to standardise the Solo fleet until I seen 697 going to Hownsgill with the other Ex Thames Travel Solos going to Percy Main.

To be fair the seating on all those second hand Solos are pretty hard and uncomfortable with the exception of those that have the Civic V3 Seating.

I'm guessing 697 will see use on the V11/Tesco Shuttles.

Maybe it would also make sense to have it say X21E on the display as well, I think it should be made more obvious to passengers that it travels a different route on the evenings and Sunday. I've seen many passengers get confused when it goes the 'wrong way' out of Durham Bus Station!

It got to the point where I was happy to pay the £1.40 to Arriva (which is very unlike me) rather than use my pass just so I don't have to sit on

Personally I would think 697 would see use on the T1/T2 then finish off on the V11, 647 & 648 on the 30s and the rest of the Venture branded solos on the V1-V5 & V9. But that’s easier said than done.

That sounds like a good plan to me!

As with all of these things though, what happens on paper often differs from what happens in reality!

You know, that design actually doesn't look half bad when it's actually on a bus, only because it isn't the shade of purple that's shown on the timetable! (Unless it's just the camera, in which case I'll be disappointed).

The thing I don't particularly like is the black glass on the back being covered up, it just doesn't look quite right, especially with the display being cut out of it

Looks fantastic minus the white stripe going round the front from the mid point of the livery, looks like someone left masking tape on it.

Is there any launch events planned for the X6/X7 & X20?

Had 691 today on the 11 and I must say it was a lovely smooth ride compared to the 63 and 16 plate solos and the omnicties. The seats are also extremely comfortable to sit on compared to the indiGO solos and 61/63 reg solos too and especially compared to the omnicities. The only thing wrong with it is that the suspension makes a banging sound which sets off a small rattle the rest of the time it is rattle free.

I’m sure it operated the AM on Thursday morning too

(19 May 2019, 3:30 pm)S830OFT I think 4949 might be used on the 206, as this service never seemed to use IndiGo branded vehicles, and with 718 - 720 now at Deptford there would only be IndiGo Solos or 708 to allocate to the 206.

Edit - Just been on the GNE app and 4949 is on the 42 atm, therefore has it not transferred to Percy Main instead?
Think 633 or 634 is carrying its machine, seen 634 today but not getting tracked on bustimes.org

(18 May 2019, 8:43 am)Andreos1 Ah the old 'trial' basis line. They haven't used that one for a while. How long was this 'trial'? It seems its been a couple of years. That's a canny trial!

I appreciate the numbers travelling between the sections now not served by the 71 following the axing of the 36, may be small. However it certainly inconveniences those boarding in those areas and travelling beyond. They now need to change buses and potentially incur increased costs through higher fares.

Saw  79, in hls, today, using a Sunderland connect solo?

(19 May 2019, 1:59 pm)streetdeckfan When will the new stops on the app be update? Will the stops in Tindale Crescent show up on the app tomorrow when the X21 starts coming down here?
Also, has the X21 that goes via Durham University always shown up as X21E on the app? I've never noticed that before today

It came up as X21E on our tickets, this morning, though said X21 on the bus

CUght the 16:52 back to fram from dbs, thus afternoon. Despite being listed on the paper timetable for stand L, it wasn't on the digital display. The, 5 minutes after it had pulled up, some guy ran up to us asking why it wasn't at staNd B, like the displays said. He was convinced the driver was wrong.
