The Shields Ferry
(29 Jan 2016, 4:50 pm)DanPicken Due to the severe wind conditions the Shields Ferry is currently suspended. A replacement bus service is in operation from both Ferry Landings.
A half hourly replacement bus service is in operation running non-stop between the Ferry Landings, South Shields and North Shields, via the Tyne Tunnel until further notice.
Two buses will be in operation on the hour and on the half hour from each Ferry Landing.
Buses depart from South Shields Ferry Landing on Ferry Street (B1344) - just outside the BT Building.
Buses depart from North Shields Ferry Landing at the bus turning circle, just outside the landing area.
