It's currently on loan to Slatyford. Assume they're in need to cover a few VORs.

MAN E300 22579 (SP08 DDL) is still showing as delicenced due to accident damage on the most recent fleet card - two years following the RTC it was involved in.

Is this getting repaired or will it eventually be scrapped? I assume it must still be impounded - if that is what happened to it following the RTC?

Could be that the "book value" is still too high and, even though repairs won't be authorised, the accountants still require the vehicle to be fully depreciated before permitting disposal .....

It'll be sitting for many more years to come, then, presumably?!

Most large operators depreciate a full-size single-deck over 15 years!

So, if it can't be repaired, can't the vehicle be used as spare parts for the other four ex-Scottish MANs? The new seat covers and destination equipment could be put into another vehicle.

I assume Stagecoach will be having the same issue with all of the other MAN E300s that are on the disposal list around the country - the ones which are not part of the engine replacement scheme?

Suspect the Dart became available after it's own defects were cleared and then swiftly pushed into service to replace a defective vehicle. The engineer probably just flung the red wheel cover on the dash while moving it back onto the dock line from the workshops, then forgetting to collect the cover.

I'm sure it didn't mean anything untoward.....
