(17 Jan 2020, 7:39 pm)Michael Not sure, but i can't see any other routes which might get them?If the 6149-6161 are euro 6, why not put them on 6/6A/12/12A, with Mercs 5275/76/78/79/82 on to Loop 93/94, with 5277/80/81 in corporate.
93/94 are getting the Toonlink B9's
X84/X85 are getting the Volvo B5TL's from the X9/X10

I have already replied to say that the vehicle in question is due for replacement and will be refurbished soon before use elsewhere. Ten feedback noted, thank you. Hopefully some good news for that route later this year. Anything seriously bad will be replaced in the meantime
New buses for the TEN too?

Leave 6/6A/12/12A as ToonLink, using 6149-55, plus corporate 6160/61.
Mercs 5275/76/78/79/82 could get Loop Vinyls on replacing Blaydon Racer, with ex Citylink57 5277/80/81 into corporate.
Red Arrow 6001-6007/49-55, plus 6156/57/58/59 onto Crusader 26/27.

A stupidly parked 6148 was causing delays on Berwick Street today. 1431 was parked at the rear of the Berwick street stop today in layover before heading to the rail replacement stop and had plenty of space in front but instead of stopping in front of it the driver on 6148 who clearly needs parking classes decided to park behind the bus stand and 1431with it's rear hanging out making it difficult for any traffic to pass. The stupid parking actually caused for 1411 to get stuck trying to turn into Berwick street. Go North East seriously need to teach their drivers how and where to park as the 309 drivers park pretty badly too at blyth bus station. On Monday the 309 parked between the X9 & 309 stands when the driver went on a brief break which is stupid as clearly his stand was un occupied. And a lot of the time when the 309 stand is occupied by arriva buses about to go in the depot and the 309 will just park in a corner blocking the road or in the middle of the road also blocking the road.

(06 Jan 2020, 12:44 am)OrangeArrow49 The bus will never compete with the car, a taxi or app-based service like Uber. Buses have their place, but are not true competition, and they never will be.Though arriva has a bad reputation I disagree with that and think arriva is the best company in the North East since I've been using them more in the last month. Generally I think arriva's buses are a lot cleaner. In blyth when I get the 309 and the buses are quite messy whereas on arriva the buses are often relatively clean and arriva have some polite drivers as today for example me and my freind were going for the X8 but as we reached the traffic lights he shut his doors but lucilly my freind got their when he was stuck at the stop at a red traffic light and blocked in by cars he opened his doors for an old couple and my freind and then agreed for to wait for me getting across the road which is when the green man came on conviniently and I got on the bus. Where as in December I was running for the 309 and my freind tried to get the driver to wait for me and told the driver I was at the traffic lights and the driver told my freind he was late and "couldn't" wait and left me for 15 minutes on the rain yet when I got to blyth on the next run he was just sat reading the newspaper so he mustn't have been too late. though GNE invest arriva are clean and have mostly polite drivers they also have better looking buses e.g sapphire, MAX, Corp, Whitby P&R, frequenta & NHS (1499)
Customer service is poor on Stagecoach and outstanding on GNE in my experience, broadly speaking. However there has been good customer service on Stagecoach and poor customer service on GNE. GNE customer service is good on social media and live chat as far I know. Arriva has a reputation for poor customer service, but I never use Arriva so won't comment too much. Gateshead Central Taxis has terrible customer service and Stanley Travel has outstanding customer service. Customer service is clearly inconsistent within the companies, and the industry. There is work to be done for certain. Buses will never be perfect, and will never be the best way to commute.

(21 Jan 2020, 10:24 am)Dan That's correct, and 6099 has hence transferred to Percy Main as a result. 5230 has also transferred to Riverside to replace 5231, now withdrawn following MOT expiry.
Few other movements which took place last week:

(21 Jan 2020, 4:03 pm)Dan Also of note, Metrocentre Mini Solos 710 - 714 have now been sold to Scarlet Band.If anyone can squeeze a few more useful years out of them, SB can.
710 and 711 were collected yesterday, while 712 - 714 have all been collected this afternoon.

What is it with Durham Council and changing the timetable at stops a week early?
Times are completely different and anyone looking at the timetable would miss the X21 by 10 minutes. Or at worst, miss the last bus!
Speaking of the changes. I wonder what the chances of the new stops in West Auckland being added by Monday when the X21 starts going there. It took them over 6 months to add Tindale on, so I expect no different

(21 Jan 2020, 5:06 pm)2bagstew Durham County Council have been doing this for quite a while now.
I was by them that they only have one person doing all the timetables changes within the county.

Omni on the 25 had a coming together earlier this evening.
The front nearside of the Omni was damaged and the rear offside of a car was also damaged.
I passed after the RTC and could see the damage to both vehicles.
Came back not too long after and the Omni had gone, but the car was abandoned on the side of the road.
Glass everywhere on the road surface.
