(07 Jan 2020, 8:02 pm)Rapidsnap Been reading the latest fleetnews on GNE website. Whats the situation with these rail replacement coaches, do they return to the NE every week for repairs etc or do they remain down Peterborough?

I think all but 1 have stayed down there, the 1 coming back acting as the shuttle to bring the drivers back.

I'm on one of the Durham Diamond Streetlites and just noticed the backs of some of the seats have what look like screw caps on the back of them. Does anyone know what the reason for these are?[Image: caa9a432f45cef413b6bf1c60f31bc3b.jpg]

To make it look like the seats are pulling a frown?

Does anyone know if you can use a GNE All Zone ticket on the 86 service that GNE run in an evening from Bishop? Customer services don't even know it exists

Yep, they do three evening 86 services to Toft Hill. No mention of it anywhere online though, just the timetable at the stop and on the app

I know you can't use it on the 40D but they at least tell you that on the website

*Update*
You can indeed use an all zone ticket on the 86D

At a guess, to allow access to the USB port workings.

I love going for midnight walks since I'm very much a night person and generally have no care for my personal safety. Although i did walk through Woodhouse estate on a night once, I won't be doing that again, ominous hooded figures walking behind you isn't exactly the most relaxing.

There's no better time to go out than when it's cold and wet. In my experience, axe murderers don't go out in the rain

Should we be slightly concerned about the level of experience you appear to have with axe murderers …..?

On a 310 from Haymarket - I forgot how horribly noisy these engines are! The idling is like some old tractor.
I guess it’s masking the service/destination being announced twice at each stop though which is almost as annoying.
My question though is about the stop after Sandyford Rd/Civic Centre (which wasn’t announced, nor was St Mary’s Place) - it’s been named Sandyford Rd-Council Offices.
Which council offices are these?
