(16 Mar 2020, 11:39 am)peter Does anybody know what the PVR of the little coasters will be following the service changes??

Thanks, Peter

It's a reduction of three vehicles on the core commercial network (between the 40 and the 42) and three on secured services.

My calculations left me with 4 spares,

40/41 PVR 5 - New 41 PVR 4 = 1 spare vehicle
42/42a PVR 8 - New 42/42A PVR 5 = 3 spare vehicles

If at all possible, could you point me in the right direction as to where I've gone wrong?

You're right, with one added back in for the transfer of the Byker ASDA service from Riverside to Percy Main (which will operate service 19 in the peaks). The bus which currently operates the Byker ASDA bus will remain at Riverside to operate the scholars service attached to it currently.

Yes, the timetables retain the full journey up to Ashington, which had looked in doubt. I believe extra funding was found at the last moment, and I'm glad - that section of route always seems rather busy, especially with shoppers travelling from Cramlington northwards.

With the AD122/X122 not running this year, will the 2 Solos's end up replacing a couple more of the older Solo's in the fleet?

Also was there any Solo's withdrawn over the weekend with the changes happening?

706 and 707 have been temporarily withdrawn until the end of this situation and have been replaced by the Cathedral buses from Consett

Because GNE are operating the Evening/Sunday route until further notice.  When the timetables return to normal, Mon-Sat daytimes trips will serve Shafto str as per the timetable introduced on 22 March.  An emergency timetable is in operation from Sat 28 March.

So i experienced the 41 myself last Thursday (14/5/20) and im sorry to say that what has been done to the service is completely insane, doesnt really make sense either, surely it needs reviewing and a better solution made?,obviously not an issue atm with every service being reduced frequency, but when some sort of normality returns, then surely it will effect people, resulting in the attractiveness of the service (Wallsend-Howdon section) becoming low potentially resulting in that part of the route being pulled altogether?
