Yes because they aren't running. Again pointless uploading timetables for all services when there is no service currently being provided on certain routes

I don't agree there, just cause things aren't being provided atm doesn't mean people won't spend there time in lockdown planning future travel arrangements

Well they could still put the PDF's on the site - but then put - "Service currently not running due to Covid-19" - least then we can start and plan future travel patterns when everything starts to open.

All it would do would create confusion. Also why would people plan when we dont know when lockdown will end, let alone know when services will be reintroduced

Website already states not running. Pointless having a timetable when they dont know how or when service will be introduced

I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree here but I think some people have enough imagination and free time to plan potential trips and journeys in the future. I know I personally wanted to look at a trip to the Lake District sometime in the distant future and managed to find timetables for stagecoach cumbria out there, albeit with great difficulty

There are plenty things I plan on doing once lockdown is over, a trip to whitby and lake district is on the cards, however I'm not going to plan anything until restrictions are lifted and services get back to normal. However dont expect things to return to normal anytime soon. Definately no harm in planning but totally get why GNE havent uploaded their usual timetables

As a further potential change is the fact that with people and companies coming to terms with working from home etc, there may well be the need to look at major reviews of all timetables in the future upon exit of lockdown. It is widely acknowledged that travel patterns will be different to that which was the norm pre Covid

I honestly would be surprised if it's not years before we're back to the current schedules - certainly won't be before 2021 in my opinion. Services will not be able to run at full frequencies as we saw pre-Covid until everyone is able to travel, and even then potentially with office staff working from home there's a good chance places like Cobalt and Quorum won't be anywhere near as busy as before. I think the North East is less at risk of changes as we carry a higher percentage of people who work in hospitals, shops alongside school transport and shoppers but still don't see normal timetables for a long time.

Agree I think life will be a lot different when this is over.  I can see more people permanently working from home with businesses downsizing and more people driving.

Just noticed they now have colour coded buses on the website tracking, wonder why they didn't just go the whole hog and put the actual livery on.

That icon definitely has a touch of Warrington Enviro about it. Though the nearside staircase must mean it’s a Tyneside one...

Could be that they’re just using basic colours so people can recognise the bus coming, ie be aware that’s it’s a purple bus not the usual blue one. As it may be a tad confusing/messy if you were seeing incorrect branded bus icons on different routes. I can also imagine it may be down to quickness - it’s not a difficult skill to change colour on an icon like that, whereas replicating the livery would take more time and need someone more skilled.

I like how the front end is a StreetDeck and the back end is an E400. Although if the system allows them to apply different liveries, surely it would allow them to put the correct vehicles on as well. They already have the designs, and it would probably be quite helpful for customers as well
