I was checking for buses from newcastle on Saturday morning for the other half as she is doing a night shift and the GNE app on my phone was saying the the 28A will be running on Saturday? But when i checked this going onto GNE web site and using the journey planner it said it would be the 28b ( which i think is correct).  Is the app no reflecting the emergency timetable that's in use??

I've noticed that the live times have been pretty far out with the emergency timetable, at least compared to the live times on the website. I think the 21 was showing as arriving 10 minutes later on the app than the website, it was only when it got to Low Fell the arrival time became accurate

The emergency timetable for the 28 suggests that there is one 28A journey on a Monday-Saturday morning departing Newcastle at 07:09

Cheers both. The 28a on a morning is the only journey of this service and was put on the meet the need of essential workers. when i looked at the appt it had the 28a running throughout the day on Saturday.... ...showning a 28a at 813 from Wilkinson in Newcastle centre when on the internet the nearest bus to 8am finishing time would be the 850 28b.

Been having a play around with the app while in the car and looks like they've figured out how to have the X21 as a single journey rather than split at Durham!

Also some strange tracking with the X5 looking like it's gone for a swim![Image: 773a933224b84c5304d1610a9ad8ca1f.jpg]

There seemed to be a few tracking issues today on the GNE app, with buses disappearing or showing as being in the complete wrong location. One of the X21s was showing as being in Durham when it was in West Auckland and another just disappeared once it got to Durham, same with a 16 and X30

I imagine the buses disappearing will be the driver's ending the trip on the ticket machine.
