The oldest photo was before my time.

Can clearly remember the buses heading south down it though - prior to full pedestrianisation.

(14 Jan 2020, 11:10 am)Rob44 So you would stop going to somewhere you wanted to go just because you had to change part way through your journey? When I still go to the Metro Centre even though there is no direct bus form where i live.  I need to change at Gatesehad so i don't see what the problem is? You need to remember that taking all these buses away from princess street and the City Centre will improve the shopping experience for shoppers, thus for ever person who would choose not to go because of having to change to the tram, several will now go due to not having to breath in diesel fumes as they walk along the street.

It wouldn’t stop me personally as I’m a transport enthusiast. The layman, I’m imagining my parents - the typical city break tourist, would find a multi-modal trip arduous and even intimidating in a strange city.

Similarly, my mam (non driver) could reach most of the region by changing buses once. The times she has done I could count on one hand. She’ll wait until my Dad is off to drive her.

Like the discussion about how Newcastle’s LEZ will impact bus services; those who have no choice will have to put up with changes. The elastic bus user will be put off and the inelastic passengers will have new motivation to learn to drive etc. The decline in passenger numbers grows.

Broken, they rarely get used due to their unreliability.

The 30. These are were a special specification by Lothian due to the low bridge on the route and pre Covid there was capacity issues.

Yeah, very.

Can remember the network being very Eclipse heavy the times I've been up there.
Looking at that list, doesn't appear much has changed.

There's 3 vehicles which are not part of the deal which will be coming south in January, and others are on long leases to McGills
