Part of me thought it could have been a GC 180. Have you felt the heat of those things in the vestibules and even more so in the toilet? Absolutely ridiculous!

Hope the train and everyone was ok.

Not sure but it could be due to the incident 91110 had the other day around Newark, It brought down the Wires.
So only reason I could think of is NRs Rail Crew is out fixing it, Which requires the OLE to be turned off.

Or it could've been something else

I fell victim to this on thursday evening with a delay of 25 Minutes on my Train which was due depart Edinburgh at 19:35pm, instead it left at 8pm with a mad scramble to Platform 19 by some 600+ Passengers I would say, over half of which were not supposed be on that train, VTEC rather kindly scrapped all reservations for this journey which meant I lost my seat which paid £17 for, furthermore I spent 2 and a half hours almost standing all the way back to Newcastle, safe to say I will logging a complaint to VTEC when I have the time to do so as it was absolute utter chaos.

I understand that was nothing else they could do, but at least prioritising passengers who were booked to be on that train, should of be let on first would of been better, before accommodating those who were supposed be on trains in the hours before and after my train, wouldnt of been as many complaints then would there.

And exactly how much more delay will that occur then?    Rolleyes

Also you don't pay any extra for a seat reservation(unless i guess if you booked in first class) so removing them for that train because of the situation was the only thing they could do, you were just unfortunate sadly.

Was just going to say. You do not pay for any seat reservation (regardless of class of travel).

You pay for your advance ticket. Not sure why you're complaining here Malarkey because this advance would have been a fair bit cheaper than a walk-up fare!

As Citaro said earlier, reservations simply do not work and cause more chaos than they're worth when umpteen trains are cancelled.

Seat reservation is bad enough at times without disruption. Had some old bloke plonk his bag on my reserved seat and I was in a bit of a state that night so I ended up in someone else's reserved seat, fortunately I was able to move into my reserved seat later in the journey.

On my TransPennine service on Saturday morning I had no reservation and I sat in someone's reserved seat, although it was reserved from Newcastle and no-one was in it, so I took it.

Also on a few occasions on VTEC, I have booked not to get a table seat and I have found my reserved seat to be at a table, most of these occasions were due to alterations to services owing to engineering works with 91's appearing instead of 43's, although on Saturday it was down to me getting a East Midlands Trains Class 43 set. These haven't caused me any problems but you do see groups of people looked unamused about their being one person sat at a table for four. Also on one journey, no card in my reserved seat but it was fine.

Oh and how many people can be bothered reading or even see the seat reservation screens under the overhead luggage compartment on CrossCountry's Voyagers? Don't like them.

You can select your seat on VTEC's trains via it's website. If you have a HST book coach G (because it is quieter) and use coach F on an IC225

People standing in the aisle, blocking anyone from getting past - whilst they wait for the message to scroll along... Does my head in. Even if I am already in my seat.

Issues at Durham earlier.
Didn't catch which DVT was at the southern end, but 91125 was facing north.
Issues with the brakes just after pulling out of Durham southbound. Blocked the line totally, with southbound trains using the other platform.
