They're not badly kept internally, considering their age, but nowadays, I'd much rather have a BA/EZY Airbus for short haul.
If you go long haul - aim for a BA 77W; gorgeous aeroplanes. That said, they don't feel quite as sturdy as their wonderful, but a bit tired, 744s for a transatlantic hop. That, and their moving map seems to break the IFE! At least it did on G-STBL.
