(13 Nov 2021, 11:49 am)GuyParkRoyal Nexus have issued the invitation to tender for bus replacements to cover the major line closure between Pelaw and South Shields. The bus service covers the period 12/9/22 to 3/12/22 with a minimum requirement of Euro 5 and a capacity of 84.GNE could do it via 6167-6175
(13 Nov 2021, 12:00 pm)Michael What will the PVR be?Say 90 min round trip, 12 min frequency = 8 vehicles so 6167-6176

(13 Nov 2021, 9:36 pm)Dan They won’t be keeping buses spare for 10 months ready for this - the winning operator will require a dedicated fleet of buses (at least 25 for a PVR of 22) to be acquired purely for this contract.GNE could use the presidents before they are sold

In addition we don't know where we will be with covid either....

Thinking about it. It would have to be a shared contract. No company could run it for them amount of days. Gne got handed the 14 day metro replacement back in February. Jh and Stanley had to come in to help. Gne don't have the deckers to handle (weekends yes I could understand) but during the week with scholars is a bit impossible

I think Euro 5 thing will be nearly impossible to do, GNE/ST & JH probs won't have enough not to mention drivers.
(13 Nov 2021, 11:49 pm)Storx It's between South Shields and Pelaw so it's not really relevant here the LEZ.Yeh, but GNE need the euro 6 vehciles, + the Euro 5 for other depots + a PVR of 25, which is more than any one Brand I believe ever, I doubt it will be able to be done, unless another Go-Ahead company lends some vehicles from maybe down london which are being replaced
