NK17 GJJ (5472) has broke down on the 1 this morning (29/11/21), was sat at the Bus Stop with the Engine Door open with steam coming out

Tbh the StreetLite are okay for the 1. But would have preferred something different. Like Versas or Mercedes-Benz Citaro

To be honest other than Rosehill bank, there aren't too many challenging sections of the 1.

Thats what i thought aswell,so was surprised when i saw it with its hazards on and steam coming out of it

At the moment they aren't even serving Rosehill Bank or Church Bank (which is the steepest of the two) due to gas mains work at the bottom of the Rosehill Bank.

Could have been caused for a number of reasons.

They all used that route at one time, the only bus to go down the bank from Wallsend was the old Tyneside route (313) which turned right at the bottom and went towards Wellington Quay.

Yea. Tbh the entire time I use the 1. I barely see anyone get on/off at Howden library. A lot of people seem to be getting on at the temporary stops now
