I’m sure there’s a thread in the stagecoach section for suggestions which speculated service changes would come under?

I think he means the ones we are not allowed to discuss by decree of the almighty Nexus.

These changes are not speculation as such since they have been put out to tender (and leaked into the public domain), however who will win the tender is open to speculation which renders the thread title WRO (sorry)...incorrect.

Stagecoach Speculative Tender Bidding Victories may be a more appropriate title for the thread.

Let’s hope Stagecoach win the tender rather than Nexus Awarding them to a Micky mouse operator like GCT.

GCT might be able to meet the contract specification (presumably Euro V or Euro VI) easier than Stagecoach, Go North East or Arriva given that GCT have a very modern fleet (the newest in the North East by a big margin).

Exactly.

GCT having the youngest fleet in the North East is a fact often conveniently overlooked when discussing their operations.

If these changes do happen will Stagecoach not run the 18 and 32/32A during the day? Also i have heard rumours that the 22 might be extended to Whitley bay but not sure if it's true.

Perhaps replacing the W3?

If they do go out to tender, it depends whether they win them. With the shortage of driver's then there's arguably not many people going to be wanting extra work currently.

Noticed SNE Stockton out and about yesterday in a training vehicle.
Must be costing an absolute fortune to fill the shortages.

Quite possibly. Not sure if the trainees will get it, but the instructors might.
Either way, there's potentially 7 days worth of fuel to cover on top of whatever else they're paying out to fill the gaps.

Dunno if they're doing weekend tests, but I know they used to cost more than the normal weekday tests via the DVLA.
