Making a thread (unless there is already one) for all bus/transport related events at Beamish

Beamish Steam Gala is the 1st & 2nd of April

Sunderland & District Classic Vehicle Society event is on the 16th of April

A fares please weekend in which Beamish celebrates 50 years of Beamish Tramway. Bit of info below. Dates are 6th to 8th May

Join us as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beamish Tramway.

Hop aboard a whole host of historic buses and take a trip through time. On Sunday, 7th May and Monday, 8th May, visitors can also enjoy a model Beamish Tramway exhibition!

A reliability run with info below is on the Sunday 18th June

Join us to see the start and finish of the 50th Beamish Reliability Run.

This 150-mile run will see a whole host of cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles registered before 1956 leave the museum first thing and drive through Durham and Yorkshire before returning to the museum at the end of the day.

The autumn transport Gala is 9th & 10th of September

An October steam it up event is on 7th & 8th October

Buses at Beamish has not been confirmed yet. Will more than likely be confirmed at the beginning of March like it was last year

You should add alongside their resident fleet, otherwise it sounds like an odd tramway event!

Maybe it would even rival the Festival of Transport's 1 bus in a field event. Big Grin

Really good day - well organised and plenty of variety out on the runs. A bit of a shame they dont have more space for static display as they tend to be crammed in behind each other round the side of the depot but still a thoroughly enjoyable event.

Would be good if there were more buses from the 90s. Or 2000s

Beamish only wanted pre 1966 vehicles, that fits with the eras that they specialise in.
