Just curious after seeing photos.....but why did Arriva Northumbria / Durham County end up ripping out the original Proudmutual coach seats out of the 1989/1990 NMS batch of Optare Delta's and instead, replace with bench seating & repaint the handrails yellow / green? Did the coach seats get donated to other vehicles within Arriva Northumbria / Durham County?
The coach seating was cramped on them. I used to ride them on the 44 and in a lot of seats legroom was a problem.
