No announcement on Twitter, but usual heavy delays are in process.
4069 (I think that was the fleet number) has the front 7 seats sectioned off today. A large quilt-like material separates the area off. The service that was on ran 10 minutes late, and the 30 second frequency announcements at Sunderland station didn't half let me know that.
The 0554 train to Newcastle is reported 'on time' but turned up 8 minutes late... hmm.
Does anyone know what has happened to the Park Lane short on a morning? Does this still happen what with the maintenance work or not? Seems odd having three services to South Hylton before 6am...

Two refurbished Metrocars and both Emirates branded Metrocars are at Pelaw today, in the aforementioned storage space.
I passed at 0700am today and they were there so it doesn't look like they have moved.
I can't imagine that the entirety of the fleet used on South Shields/Hylton runs even at its lower PVR at the moment could be stored there though. It doesn't look like there would be enough room... Is there anywhere else in addition to Pelaw that could be used?

There are no trains running between Heworth and Regent Centre and Four Lane Ends in both directions, this is due to unforeseen circumstances. A limited bus replacement service is in operation in the affected area. There are no trains running between Haymarket and Regent Centre and Four Lane Ends in both directions. The 901 bus replacement is calling near to all stations between Haymarket and Regent Centre. The 900 bus replacement is calling near to all stations between Haymarket and Four Lane Ends. Trains are running but with delays between Haymarket and South Shields/South Hylton, Airport and Regent Centre and St James and Four Lane End.
