(19 May 2015, 6:12 pm)Michael Is the metro on strike to, i thought it was just the national rails?

(19 May 2015, 5:43 pm)Tom Will the disruption be bad on Monday as a result of the strike?

No doubt services will be turned at Pelaw / Heworth - I know buses are ordered for Sunderland - Heworth after the concert

Becoming more common again... Metros are running 5 - 10 mins late this morning.

EDIT: Towards Airport, the train which was running 5 minutes late (due in 3 minutes) has now vanished and was replaced all of a sudden with the next train being due in 12 minutes (ie the on-time 0726 train). Crazy.

There are minor delays to trains running between South Hylton and Airport due to a technical fault in the Sunderland area. Please leave extra time for your journey.

Seems to have 1 good week and then 1 terrible!

I know a couple of days ago, all trains to the Airport were being operated out of platform 2 out of sunderland because of issues with the points or something so this will cause minor delays as in most cases, the South Hylton train has to clear before the train towards the Airport can arrive and depart from Sunderland.

I'm led to believe that the Metrocar refurbishment programme has been completed.

No idea how T&WM can justify running a Saturday service on a Bank Holiday.

Currently heading to Sunderland with one passenger: me!

The other side is usually quite busy on a bank holiday morning. Heworth to Newcastle anyway.

To be honest, I wouldn't want my own personal Metrocar.  Wink It would probably break down within reach of Pelaw.

Refurbished Emirates 4038 just left Pelaw heading to South Shields, for anyone wanting photos of it.

I'm able to find it no bother during the week but no doubt when it comes to me being out, I won't be able to find it!

Am I right in suggesting that some Metros have had their destinations updated? The font used on some I've seen recently appears to be a lot "tighter" than in the past.

There are no trains running between Four Lane Ends and West Monkseaton in both directions, this is due to a failed train. We will update you once we have more information.

Could have sworn it was 4038... I know this one used to be the East Coast one, but I'd have assumed that it would have lost this livery when Virgin took over, and the train refurbished at the same time?
