(05 Jul 2014, 7:56 am)Robert God i remember seing a picture of the train that livery. Is it one of the first ever advertising liveries. I know we're going back a bit but it might have been at least 1991 when the Airport extension was around. Ill follow this up.

Airport is also open so was either first seen in 1991 or was branded before hand but remained around for the Airport extension opening.

Definately one of the first advertisement liveries, if not the first.
Saying that, struggling to think of the ones which followed in the following few years after.
There may have been a Metroland livery - but not sure on others.

Update on the metro due to the weather -
Tyne and Wear Metro
There are no trains running between North Shields and Tynemouth in both directions until further notice. This is due to flooding. Go North East are accepting Metro tickets in the affected area. Bus services 1 amd 17 operate between North Shields and Tynemouth. We will update you as soon as we have more information.
