I'd forgotten to include details of the daytime 701 service being up for tender as per the daytime 700 and evening 701.
This is a one year contract between 17/09/16 and 07/17/17, with option to extend contract by one year. Vehicle specification is 1x low-floor Euro 5 vehicle with a minimum capacity of 60.
Awarded to Stanley Travel.

Will GNE tickets be accepted?
I would imagine the Sunderland Connect buses will go in for a repaint soon then?

(09 Aug 2016, 7:01 pm)Dan I wouldn't have thought so, but I'd say 95% of the people using these buses are University of Sunderland staff and students who are entitled to free travel on the 700/701 services if they present a valid University ID card... So it doesn't make too much of a difference anyway.

Does anyone know whose gained the contract for the 1 week shuttle number 555 between lynn road and ntl hospital due to road closure.
I dont think Gne will operate it as it runs during the blyth tall ships.
My Guess is Arriva as they have spare buses but if anyone knows whose gained it that would be great.

It requires two vehicles, which are low-floor, Euro 4, and have a minimum capacity of 36.
Nexus are tendering for the following bus services: 333, 335, 392, W1, W1A and W3. The start date for the contracts will be in March 2017.

The response deadline is 03/01/2017, with the contracts being awarded by the end of January 2017 and commencing 19/03/2017. The contracts will expire 17/03/2018, so another fairly short-term contract length.

Would be really nice for Go North East to be awarded with the contract for the 335 service as that would link up the network nicely, and would allow customers to use other Go North East tickets on the 335 service. I'm thinking Phoenix will stand a good chance at getting most/all of them again though.
