(04 Mar 2013, 2:40 pm)Dan An Enthusiasts Tour of Weardale Motor Services has been planned. The provisional itinerary is given below. Though brief, it does sound like a brilliant day and it would be a great shame to miss it. I should be there, and I hope I can persuade one or two of you to go too!
- The event will be on March 23 2013, picking up at Durham Rail Station at 10:30am.
- You will be able to have a ride of Weardale's older stock that is not usually available for the public to ride on. Weardale have a varied selection of Leyland Olympian buses normally used on scholars and it is planned to ride on these as well as the Paramount bodied Volvo B10M, the superbly original Leyland Leopard and the magnificently restored Leyland PD2.
- The vehicles that should be used are as follows: YUP6, OGR625T, GIB8666, C778SFS, G16WMS, D16WMS, and others!
- Planned return to Durham is for 18:30.
The cost for this event is £15 per head. This can be made payable via PayPal or given on the day. To inquire about payment via PayPal, e-mail Stu on the address given below:
stueybish@yahoo.co.uk
If you have any further questions, I can try to answer them myself or you can ask Stu on the e-mail address above. Thanks.

(22 Jan 2014, 7:31 pm)Dan Haven't heard anything about it yet, but really do hope it happens again. Doubt we'll have any of the white stuff though!
On another note, this looks marvellous:

(21 Mar 2014, 12:21 pm)RGR756V The minicoach is the penultimate Plaxton Cheetah to be built - the last one is still in build and is also for Weardale.
The Javelin is now based at Consett; there are two Panther bodied B10s at Crook usually. There are no plans to paint the Javelin just yet owing to the immaculate condition of it.

(12 Apr 2014, 6:47 pm)RGR756V It will in time - GIB206 has been sold but is still working for Weardale as I type this. The Astron is question is YJ11AOE and it is some machine I must say. The E200 has been returned and was on a free loan while work was carried out to various members of the Solo fleet. I am told that a Streetlite Hybrid is also destined on demonstration to Weardale in the coming weeks.
