If only there was some sort of planning and survey that could have predicted this

(01 Aug 2022, 7:31 pm)cbma06 It will still be a dumping ground for Arriva buses, no extra bus stands, should of built the bus station in the original plans on top of north road, instead of diverting the funds to the new council HQ and then decide when built not to move in and then rent it out/give it to the universityThey're selling it, not giving it away. It should never have been built there in the first place. Accessibility is awful.

The refurbished Durham Bus Station is due to open this summer, as is North Shields Interchange.
If both are open by late September I may see them both with an Explorer (or GNE day ticket) as I shall be passing through the area to/from my weekend in Edinburgh.

(02 May 2023, 6:48 am)Storx I know a bit off topic but there's new tickets coming out soon which will be much cheaper than the Explorer which covered all of Co. Durham, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear for £6.80.
No doubt it'll be badly advertised for anyone outside the region.
