Applied to be a programmer in the RAF Reserves. Just need to explain to my parents that I won't be in any danger. They have always told me not to join the army, however since I will only be working on the technical side of things it should put their minds at rest.

(08 Feb 2015, 11:19 am)Jimmi Yeah I know about the 572, I've looked at actually riding the service before too by getting a Scarlet Band 95/96 from Barry to Middleton-In-Teesdale then jump on the 572 there back to Barney. I would miss a photo of the 79 but I'd probably do two trips over the summer with one focusing on the 572.

(08 Feb 2015, 12:14 pm)tyresmoke Yes it's definitely worth going when the majority of things are in, as you can clear a lot in one go!
Another trip worth doing is Richmond on a Thursday lunchtime, as Hodgsons run the 79A on a Thursday alongside the regular 79, plus you've got all the Dales & District stuff calling between 1230-1330.

(08 Feb 2015, 1:31 pm)Andreos1 Have they said which station you are likely to be posted to?Not sure yet. I have to go down to Leeming next week for a discussion so they will probably tell me then. Wouldn't mind being a poster boy if they needed someone haha .
We might see you on the next batch of adverts!

I've had a bit of a crappy week, although it has been a pretty good weekend - went out to a gig in Newcastle last night which turned out to be a pretty good night.
Today is a nice simple lazy day for me and I have a fry up to look forward to for my tea tonight and Top Gear is also on tonight as well.
Now I will get to laugh at what people will reply with as I am making a post in the happy thread.

(08 Feb 2015, 3:24 pm)MurdnunoC Drone technology will probably reduce the need for RAF personnel to physically participate in potentially dangerous operations in the not-so-distant future.

Got 73% on my chemistry test today. Honestly don't know how I did it. 4 hours of revision and about 2 hours of sleep must be the secret formula!
However, on the downside, I found out on Wednesday night there is some GCSE presentation by some of the heads/deputy heads (we have 8!). Mainly for parents but kids can go.
I think I'll find it interesting I just hate how awkward it is when you're sitting in the theatre like in assembly and instead of your friends all you see is parents...most awkward thing ever!
