The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, based at RAF Coningsby really are a joy to behold.
The sight and sound of WWII planes is tremendous and I am a big fan of what they do.
Their twitter and Facebook pages are worth a follow, with their fb page just sharing a video shot from the rear turret of a Lanc by a Flt Lt. https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hvid...bfd95f5bc1&oe=535B7221
Details of the dates and locations of the Canadian and RAF Lancaster performances throughout August, have just been announced: http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/news/index.cf...FADEAE34DD&rss=true&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
The Canadian Lanc coming to the UK to perform alongside the RAF Lanc is a once in a lifetime event and although nothing is happening locally, it could be worth travelling.
There are rumours that the stay will be extended into September, with a possible visit from both Lancasters to Durham Tees Valley.
This hasn't been confirmed either way yet.

Lancaster engine returns back to UK.
Just seen on twitter (@rafsynchro75), that the display typhoon and one of the BBMF Spitfires, is to perform a synchronised display this flying season.
Having seen (and heard) the Typhoon display a few times already, I am intrigued as to how the Spitfire is going to get involved!
Just as the season comes to a close...
