I could see loads of MAX E400s from Asda, don't the X15/X18 interwork on Sundays?

They also sent Sapphire 7503... along with plain 7520

Blyths offerings were plain 7607 and MAX 7613 & 7622

Poor allocating going on again today, Quorum 7601 on MAX X10/X11 and there was a MAX one (7611?) on Quorums. X15 branded Enviro on the X18 stood out and Jesmonds Streetlites on 43/52 and 45s etc while 1500 trundled around on 306s

No. Way back in the days when the 505 and 501 both ran to Berwick they swapped over at Berwick, but since X15 and X18 were introduced they don't.
2864 is on X1

Did they run behind each other when they ran as those? I remember being on 7507 on whichever the quick one was (505?) and we followed 7410 from about Belford, it arrived in Berwick a few minutes ahead of us. However it didn't leave straight away, surely meaning it wasn't late?

The 501 ran 5 minutes in front of the 505 between Belford and Berwick. Going back the northbound 501 bus operated the southbound 505 (and vice versa). On the way south the 505 left before the 501 despite arriving after it so both buses and drivers had the same amount of layover (roughly 10 mins).

Because they were running so close together they often ended up leapfrogging each other when they stopped to pick up / drop off, which meant you had to be careful to catch the right bus.

A schedule with 2 buses serving Berwick every 2 hours but having them only 5 minutes apart between Belford and Berwick probably wasn't Arriva's finest bit of timetabling.

Well it was only a matter of time to be honest. I'm glad he's ok though, poor guy and poor driver!
