Do the Yellow Bus Olympians get out into Service on a Saturday? If so what route would they most likley to be spotted on?

You're best off going up to Stanley and Consett bus stations. It's rare these days that they'll end up out in service, but there's always a few of them parked up in the layover bays.

They shouldn't be allocated to any services on a Saturday although they do sometimes manage to find themselves out in service. If they are out in service, they are most likely to be found on the following services:

6 Newcastle - Stanley.
X30/X31 Newcastle - Stanley.
X70/X71 Newcastle - Consett.
15/15A Durham - Consett.

There's no set allocation, as they're step entrance, which means GNE end up potentially having to call taxis for some passengers, but they were out in force on the Stanley and Consett services, the Saturday before last and there' always loads in those bus stations. If you're after photos of them in the wild, so to speak, they go out on scholars' services on a weekday.

Try the X50 Soccerbuses when Newcastle United are playing at home.

It's a good couple of weeks until Newcastle are playing at home again.

I saw one on the 6 on Saturday, arrived at Eldon Square at about 11:45

Aye - we caught 3832 on the 46, last Thursday. They saw a fair bit of action, last week.
