In the local councillor's newsletter, Arriva had said that passengers numbers were up on the 19 and that the council & Arriva were happy with the service since it started to serve High Grange up to the roundabout.

I remember the outcry when they first changed the 19 to omit High Grange entirely and also passengers weren't happy about it no longer picking up on Northgate. Good to hear the service is now doing better, the improvement in allocations will have also probably helped.

Don't talk about not picking up on north gate, that annoys me that
1 point some drivers pick up the 19 while they are round there but other times they take the bus out of service to go round the other side of town to drop off and then come round the block again, why can't it just be simple as the bus comes in from doing a 1 and then goes straight on to the 19 instead of doing a loop of the town before it then comes back to northgate

I think it's better for the passengers on the 1 if the 1 arrives in Darlington drops off at Northgate and Tubwell Row then goes back to Northgate to start the 19, so that the passengers on the 1 who wish to depart at Tubwell Row aren't sat like melons until it's time for the 19 to depart, used to hate it when the 5A interworked with the 19 on a Sunday as there was one occasion where I wanted to be off at Tubwell Row but the driver decided to sit on Northgate until it was time for the 19 to depart, so I ended up sat there for over 5 minutes!!! Sadly it's just the way the service has to interwork now, although that said when it interworked with the 3 it changed from the 3 to the 19 (19 change to 3) on Northgate, so the same could probably be done for the 1 and 19 now.

While 1415 is on 9/27/27a
How come that 1105 made it onto an X93 working on Sunday ? Whitby are supposed to have 6 BTL9's at their disposal which correct me if I'm wrong here, wouldn't have been needed to meet a Sunday PVR. Incidentally if 4710 was down at Whitby and presumably not working another service, why not use that ?
Allocations all over th place today in reaction to delays this morning due to the weather. 1443 appeared on a 17 to Yarm at 1200 as I guess they'd sent a normal one out on X12 in its place. There was a 15 branded Pulsar on 9/27 for most of the morning before being replaced at lunchtime.

You brand something because you want a customer to look out for that striking brand. So it's a poor and confusing customer experience to then go and shove it on another route to save a bit of cash. Not to mention that it's got the number of the route and destination points on the side of it!
Agreed.

All the problems are caused by the commercial team not understanding how best to make the interworking work and deciding not to ask input from the driving staff. So the services are registered and are not able to be varied
