Fell foul of the glare, trying to catch it on the 24 - had littl'un with us, so didn't have a chance to get away from the bus station then get back again before the school crowd descended on our queue.

Sapphire 24 e400 on the 22

22 branded streetlite on service 24 while 24 branded e400 and pulsar on service 22 this morning.

Saw one going the other way, too.

The 22/24 are reported to be interworking while the Leazes Roundabout work is ongoing so for now at least seeing 22-branded StreetLites on 24s and 24-branded vehicles on 22s all day is normal.

(Also seeing one of the spares on the 6 should be normal as that has an extra bus added as well, 56/57/57a/86 has been split up with 56/86 and 57/57a being the interworking pattern. The 64 also has additional layover so an additional vehicle has been added to the PVR)

A 35 branded Streetlite was on the X21/22 this morning.

Interesting to see what it throws up, though. The 7 had a few substitutions, yesterday and that doesn't even use the roundabout.

Noticed that the 22 was pretty much back to normal by late afternoon, yesterday. I think because the work isn't as constant and predictable as the bridge was, the interworking is going to be more random. And it has to get back to normal during periods when buses are arriving on time, simply because Durham bus station doesn't have the capacity to have so many spare vehicles hanging around when they're not needed.

EDIT: 7489 is now back at Whitby having been swapped over in time for the 1545 P2 from the Park & Ride.

The 22s were back to normal between about 9am and lunchtime, but the subs have returned. The expected 24s, mostly, but got surprised by 7520 on the school run.

I saw it on the 5A to Bishop Auckland at approximately 13:28pm, it was heading towards Eldon Bank at the time.

Redcar - 0850 from Middlesbrough this morning. The other Redcar one was 1430. Understand 1808 is off the road.

Me not paying much attention was the reason for that typo.

One long cushion on the downstairs. The joy of it being on a Redcar board - they park up for 40-odd minutes in Whitby Bus Station when on the short runs.
