That's a lot of sprinters. Perhaps for a local authority contract? Such as SPT in Scotland?

Though it would be interesting if they were going to be used as a genuine small bus alternative in regular service

If Hartlepool get new buses could it release e200s to newcastle to replace darts

Can we mark speculation as such please? I don't believe anything has been confirmed yet.
Surely if Hartlepool were getting new buses, they would replace the darts in Hartlepool first as they're the oldest in the towns fleet
I'm quite astonished at how many E400s have been ordered.
Hopefully Newcastle and Hartlepool get them this year.

Newcastle needs both E400s and long E200s

And Hartlepool needs 10.8m E200s

EDIT I understand the models are MMCs

It'll be because of the upcoming double decker DDA deadline.

Yep, So most will probably be aimed at Devon and the South East and west, Where there's still a lot of Olympians and early Tridents around I believe.

Though Newcastle have a Decker shortage and some MAN Routes could do with double deckers, And Hartlepool has elderly Darts to replace.

I'm surprised London aren't getting most of the order.... they normally get more than anyone else.
So far confirmed allocations are for Yorkshire and East Midlands:

8 Enviro400MMCs for Barnsley depot for the 66 (Barnsley-Elsecar)
7 Enviro200MMCs 11.8m for Chesterfield for the 54 (Chesterfield-Clay Cross)
Nine of the longer Enviro 200MMC's are destined for Winchester Park & Ride.

D.
Wouldnt mind some E400MMCs on the 62/63 & X63, otherwise I think the 1 & 38 would likely candidates for new deckers.

Probably 34550/61/3/4.

It would be nice for the Killingworth buses to have the new Enviro 400s because 19379-89 were originally for the 38. 430-446 for the 1, 670-83 for 12 and of course hybrids on 39/40. I think Slatyford should get them. The 400s  on there are from 2007.
Order announced yesterday. First vehicles ready at Falkirk today Wink

One has been identified as Glasgow-bound E400MMC 10511 (SN16 OLU).
