Unusually a Fokker 70 operated into Newcastle this lunchtime in place of an embraer 190
It doesn't seem two minutes since the Fokker 100 was a standard fixture between Schipoll and Newcastle.
I think some (if not all) were with Air UK plying th3 route in competition to KLM, prior to the KLM takeover.

It makes me laugh as I believe an embraer 190 flew into Teeside today, they are the Arriva of the skies for allocating planes Big Grin

They must be doing something right, given that they are the oldest surviving Airline in the world. I don't think AirUK ever competed with KLM. At some stage, KLM took AirUK over and brancded them KLM UK. All the Fokker 100s have gone now - pity as they always seemed that little bit faster than 737s when I flew MAN-AMS.
