I signed up ages ago but i'm giving my first lot in February next year (couldn't do it this year due to not being able to have time off work).

Scared of needles, couldn't do it!
Donated 11 times, wanted to move over to donating platelets but my count isn't above average. It's easy enough Michael and my only advice is to drink plenty of water.

Having been in receipt of a skinful, I can't.
Blood Transfusion saved my life twice. I'm internally greatful for all those people who have gave blood

Husband tries to donate, but last time he found a convenient collection, he came down with a stinking cold, so had to stay away! At this rate, it'll be another 5 years before he manages to donate what I've received (7 units, in total).
They won't have mine for reasons I don't quite understand - signed up with Anthony Nolan though.
