More than likely was being used for route learning combined with type familiarisation before working 13/13A (all 6 vehicles work both routes - 3 work 13s from Salters Lane and 13A from Coulby with the other 3 working 13s from Coulby and 13As from Salters Lane).

You wouldn't need L plates for that.

Where did he say it had ‘L’ plates fitted - he mentioned it had the Driver Training destination display up but nothing there mentions ‘L’ plates fitted

He said "L".

I imagine the driver under instruction has the L as its number on the destination screen. Still not a valid L for learners though.

Can we count the gas buses on the X24 as a odd workings now?, as they're on regular these days.

Have they ever been odd really though? - regular these days, regular since the service launched! They've always been the allocated spares being the next high-capacity saloon at Sunderland and I think we all know that a missing Omnilink will always see a Gas bus being the first choice stand-in. PVR of three, three 11 year old well travelled buses. Sounds the obvious choice to me rather than an odd one.

Aye it is, hoping they get newer buses soon though... no idea on passenger numbers as i rarely see it.

Surprisingly its the 397xx Mans off more than the 396xx. That has really shocked me.

The only MANs on there today were 39672/5, 39713 with 36092-4 making up the PVR. 39709 was on the 10/11s.

I didn’t see any working on the 8/18 but they do seem to be repainting them so that might explain where at least 1 of them is.
