Sorry yes that is what I meant.

9077 is out today, its on the 310 at Haymarket. Apparently its not tracking on the app

Wonder if the 2019 livery including front blue panel was "inspired!" by Warrington's Bus:

Time for Complete change?..considering EYMS and Go North West being far better looking corporate brand images.

Anyone know where 9077 is, been waiting at Cobalt for nearly an hour and hasn’t shown up yet

9077 had departed from North Shields at 11.34, but not sure where it is now. Just a reminder that the 309/310 are stand-alone most of the time.

No, 5204 - 5206 are still in limited use (primarily on cruise ship shuttle services) at Percy Main.

4978/80/81 are withdrawn.

The Nexus contracts for September 2019 are awarded later this month - this will determine whether or not the remainder of the batch transfer north.

Many thanks.
310 doesn't go into Cobalt itself, just skirts the bottom of it.

Also 6000 has been renumbered 3999 with 2 further examples from EYMS being numbered 3997/8
What happened to 1047 ? I have a picture of it at Washington on 15 June last year

9077 does not appear to carry a fleet number, as well as not being on the app, also the tickets issued do not carry a fleet number either

Thanks for the update, who has bought 4978/80/81?

Was wondering, if more Omnidekka's arrive, if GNE don't need them, then the ones already here from that batch, will there fleet numbers be changed?

To work the 309 & 310 out Mon-Fri between 0700-1630ish, the cycles are 2hr 30 round trip on 309 and 1hr 45 on 310 incl layover times. Obviously it'll be a bit more until after 0900 but both don't interwork during these times.

It’s been confirmed that GNE have ordered new Yutong Electric Buses this morning on the Buses Magazine website to operate on services between Newcastle and Gateshead, so looks like they’ll be on the 53/54 services.

Intresting move, was expecting something else.

Also:

They are due to enter service in July 2020 and the operator expects to order further electric buses in the coming years.

Intresting that they expect more orders too

A year from order to delivery? Appreciate the installation of the charging equipment will take some time, but a year seems excessive.

If anyone is after the E200MMC demo, don't bother as it again sat in Riverside depot.

What is up with demonstrators not being in service? 9080 was like this too; the day I tried to get it, all it did was looping around Gateshead Interchange (at least I had a ride on 9076)

Weird, they're pretty large buses which seem rather unsuited to the Saltwell Parks, could be for the 57 or 58 afterall. Not that a full size vehicle is impossible, just not the best vehicle for the job.

Anyone know what route 9077 is on today

310. Had departed Haymarket at 14.13. Not the best time to catch it with buses being delayed and buses diverted Newcastle-bound due to an ambulance on fire at the Corner House.

9077 seems to be on one particular board on the 310. It operated the 16:01 from Haymarket to North Shields, then straight back to Percy Main Depot.
Here is a video from my journey on-board 9077:

The ZF gearbox is far better than Voith in the E400. Does this one have stop-start?

No it doesn't.

I wasn't a big fan of the Yutong to be honest, the build quality didn't seem the best on the demonstrator. It felt very top heavy and you could see the inside ceiling swaying as it went round corners

I would have thought the X66 would be the first route to be electrified as it seems like a very EV friendly route

Saw a GNE advert on the telly today.

It was on in the background just prior to attending a meeting.

Looked all well and good, but they featured the 20A! The route doesn't exist any more!

It's like Tesco advertising marathons or opal fruits! It's sort of still there, but not as you know it and the packaging has changed slightly too.

Edit. Turns out the advert has been out a while! Don't normally watch daytime ITV, hence never seeing it before.

I know GNE had the Yutong E12 demo, but don't remember the E10 demo, though Go-Ahead London tried one.

Basically also the E12 is the 12 metre version and the E10 is the 10.8 metre version. Hopefully GNE specify Hanover blinds on these so will be replacement for the Saltwell Park Streetlites.

According to the 20 timetable, there are two Saturday Evening 20A Journeys...

I think we established this to be a typo which has now been corrected.

They also used one of the B5s and pretended it was an Angel. I assume it's because it doesn't have vinyl on the window but it still annoys me!

Of course anyone seeing this TV advert is going to decide against travelling on Go North East's buses after all, because they used a different vehicle type on the advert, when the interior specification is almost identical.
