I remember Martin going to see some folks about moquette designs a few months ago, so the new seats should be much more hard-wearing than standard fabric.

It doesn't matter how hard wearing the moquette is, it's still going to absorb things, and just the thought of that makes me feel uneasy!

The only upside is that on a cold morning, they don't feel so cold. But I actually really like a cold seat!

Any info on when the demonstrator will be in service?

I don't think there's been any mention of it at all since Dan said it would be out last week.

Wonder if they forgot to bring the charger up north ?

Looks like there's something wrong with 5253, it's pulled over outside Dunston Aldi with the driver and passengers outside

Is it any worse than where someone's sweaty backside has been, as you get on the leather and plastic seating?

At least you can see it, and avoid it. Plus, it doesn't soak in

Is the first journey on the 136 allocated a bus off the X-lines, or was that just today?

I really like the X-Lines design, I think the corporate livery should follow the same design, I done a mock up and I think it looks better than the present livery.

Nah, I like having them both separate, plus the new corporate has really grown on me, as has the Xlines Streetdeck, it really does look nice in person (not so much in photos)

Why is it that both Arriva and Stagecoach have the full assault screen on pretty much all their fleet, but for the most part GNE only have the screen on the door?

Is it that GNE doesn't see the need for the full screen, or is it purely a cost saving measure?

I know the first time I got on Arriva bus I was very surprised that the driver was completely separated from the passengers except from a small gap for the ticket machine. It actually made me feel unsafe on the bus, wondering what sort of sketchy places it went to.
Conversely, when I flew down to Southampton, I caught one of the Unilink E400s and it didn't have an assault screen at all, which looked very unusual
I suppose it depends on local policy or operator.

I remember many years ago when Go North East were rolling out bandit screens, and those that were retrofitted to vehicles were a bit messy and were then later removed. Whereas later vehicles came with bandit screens as standard, I recall on some vehicles the driver had the option of lowering or raising the screen.

Been to Riverside and Saltmeadows a couple of times within the last week and couldn’t see it anywhere.

In the morning it's a Drifter, then an X-Lines Solo, and the third board which is just a 135 from Witherwack in is also an X-Lines Solo. In the evening/Sunday should only be 17 plate Black Cats Streetlites as they're Euro 6.

I think you're missing the point of Xlines if you want to make other liveries like that. Diluting the punch of the brand.

Looks as though 6328 is just getting minor changes rather than being rebranded completely as it still has the vinyls on the sides.

Yeah, that's what i thought.
It's going to be interesting to see what the Streetdecks with the staircase windows looks like in Xlines. From the renders I prefer without the glass but we'll have to wait and see what it's like in person
Excellent, you'll be able to see out the windows now when stuck on the lower deck's rear facing seats!

Quite bizarrely 719 has gained a rear advert for Durham Works, even though its primarily allocated to the 33
